Nice work. Ocean is probably the most impressive property in AC. Its only real drawback is that it is not part of a national player program. That's where Borgata edges it out, in my opinion. But I still prefer Ocean to the three Caesars properties in AC these days.
I remember going inside when it was Revel back in 2014 and thinking it was such a shame that it would soon be shuttered. I was thrilled when it was reborn as Ocean Resort Casino (as the name was originally ordered).
The heated outdoor portion of the pool is something else in the winter.

Awesome video! I only stayed at Ocean once in 2022. Rooms were pretty nice but nothing out of this world. I think we had one of the original rooms because we had one of those old Cisco phones, which apparently was original from the revel days.
Also, pretty sure the night club is HQ2 now not just HQ right?

@@Dwall44 yes HQ2 is the name now…prob just for legal reason I’m guessing? Even the original rooms feel like a big step up over most standard AC rooms

@@fgpalm Idk nothing beats hard rock in terms of cleanliness if you ask me. Then again, I’ve only stayed at ocean ones so there’s that. Borgata was good, but Tropicana was not when it came to how clean the room was unfortunately.

Ocean falls short in many ways yes the views are beautiful and it has had success as of late. When you compare the property to the borgata/mgm. The casino floor was done with budget in mind by having a carpet throughout the casino floor the food court was also done on a budget the pool inside is full of children. The pool outside is very very small . Many of times the rooms aren't ready on time and housekeeping is under staffed and over worked. Ocean is owned by a financial holding company that simply can't keep up with the revenue mgm makes . Borgata is constantly investing into the property recently putting 55 million into the mgm tower and is currently putting million into the casino floor with a remodeling of Borgata rooms to be announced in 2025. The pools are bigger and much nicer than the Ocean I've also had my room ready numerous times by 10am. Ocean and Hardrock are a very distant second and third .

Second or third highest rate of crime in the state, good old getto AC. After a neighbor got mugged during afternoon a block from a casino a police officer said they only two safe places in AC are directly in front of Casinos and part of the boardwalk during daylight. No thanks. Was a nice place back in the day.

Atlantic city IS a nice place. if you don't go looking for trouble and stay in the tourist areas, the boardwalk beach and casinos. not saying some parts of the city arent extremely nice though.

Actually Atlantic City is pretty safe. I was born and raised in Atlantic City moved away to Atlanta returned 2016. It’s definitely not what it used to be. In the summer, there’s plenty to do. We just had restaurant week, great opportunity for affordable dining. Safety is a priority no matter what city you are in. I’d like to know what street the mugging happened during the day?
