I wonder if the old style pier in Brighton could have been rebuilt for the same or less money? Europe rebuilt whole war damaged cities to what they looked before.

It means all architectural elements are very much dependent on structural/ civil elements of an structure...a civil engineer can sign an architectural plan even closing his eyes. But an architect can not sign a civil civil or structural plans...that's the difference between an engineer and an architect
