The naturalized daffodils are just gorgeous. What a peaceful spot. You guys are really covering some ground! Thanks for sharing the names and stories. We just can't imagine all that these folks went through.
Sorry about your allergies, I know exactly how that feels. It's like you're going to cough up a hairball. Perfumes are the worst for me. Thanks for sharing this.
The flowers are just amazing! I planted lots in my yard back in 1984 and they have really naturalized. I hope they will be naturalized all over the place 200 years from now......
I grew up in rural Vermont & spent many happy hours exploring local overgrown burial sites but later in life I joined VOCA which supports cemetery restoration through community grants & I got to see one of my favorite plots returned to it’s almost original state, including a grave containing the relative of President Millard Fillmore
I have 6 or 7 daffodil flowers in the house tonight so that the cold front coming thru won't take them out. They are such happy flowers! All the years that I lived in Arkansas, then Virginia, and now SW Missouri, I didn't ever really have much trouble with allergies. Until this past 5 or 6 years! It's awful now!! It never totally goes away anymore because something is always blooming or throwing down pollen. Plus, I live 3 blocks from the Pennington Seed plant, and the air is always filled with something from down there. Zero wind days are heavenly!! This was an interesting video. That 1st graveside, with the rock walls, was intriguing because it appeared that those last 2 gravestones had been a part of the wall rather than being inside, marking the graves. And the death dates were quite close together, if I remember correctly. How tragic for the family who lost a brother and sister to a sudden storm and lightning strike. Thank you for taking us with you to this peaceful little cemetery.
I wonder what happened to the first plot you went to one died April 8 1859 second April 18 1859 third Mar 18 1858...they all passed so close together...I might have to rewind and look them up...have a great day and be safe!! ✌️❤
The first plot, the inside stone has the same dates as the first outside wall stone you looked at, same initials and last name… maybe both for one grave? Did you check all sides of the wall for any other ones?

You are welcome!
I love those tombstones with the marbles. I've thought of having one when the time comes, but I've seen how people come along and pry them out.
Oh my , that’s awful
The daffodils are beautiful. My great grandmother had these in her yard and lining the old rock way pathway to her porch. Good memories .
