I bought the addon a few days ago to run some tests, and I really like it! It already has a mode to make the viewport performance smoother, which is great. However, I think it would be even better if the details could adjust dynamically based on whether the camera is focused on them or not. This would not only speed up rendering but also make the experience feel more organic and dynamic
I'll probably get it as well. If you're into animating cars, you should get RBC as well, super easy to auto-rig cars and you can drive them in realtime with a keyboard or controller. Super easy to make animations that way.
As a creator who uses Citys often I cannot thank you enough. I have tested every Method and every Addon there is in City Generation and this is the most convenient, best looking option. Thank you man!

This is a great addon, but the main problem for these city generators is the rely solely on bland and dull orthogonal american cities with repeatable patterns. How about european cities or old english towns, villages or historical places? That would be the real deal.

It all looks wonderful, it is a good start for this addon. My recommendation regarding the asphalt and grated textures is to make them a bit dirtier, they look very clean with respect to the buildings. Even though I don't know if the materials can be altered. Great job anyway, I'll keep an eye out for updates

Is it possible to apply the buildings and transform them into a mesh? I may be asking too much here, but if we can modify them from the inside after they're setup, that would be wild.

Just brought this tool and I am enjoying it, qq, could this exported as a fbx, and could it be broken down into parts, I was able to export the obj to unity, but I am unable to break the buldings into part to add some collision to it.

I'll get it as soon as I can as my creativity is set off rolling like a snowball down a hill. I want to put grease pencil animations throughout these streets, doing whacky things. And with Grease Pencil getting its own rework in coming updates. Maybe we'll see them in reflections as well? Maybe rain covered streets and puddles... And... Yeah. My mind is very much racing. Btw. Speaking of hills. Does this add-on handle non-flat ground planes?
Hi Andreas, I purchased your city generator add-on. When i export to glb I noticed that it is quite broken: buildings not visible, cars that should not appear do appear, and the rest is all messed up. I tried to export the glb and load it back from blender and i can see it is broken from blender too. Could you advice me how to export the glb in the correct way? Or what am i doing wrong?

It's a great addon but so so heavy to run, even with a 4090 and a 7950X3D. Would use it all the time if it didn't slow everything down so much.
