Well, I didn't realize that recent weeks of rain would make our lawn too soft for a Bobcat rental, but I sure learned that lesson today. Thanks for this video, you helped me get out of some difficult jams (oh, my poor lawn - but, at least the Bobcat isn't stuck any more).
well this was the only think that worked for my bobcat stuck in mud on a hill. Funny the bobcat rental people didn't know anything about it until I showed them. Spent 3 hours trying to get it out, this technique worked in about 20 min.
I see so many comments about throwing the tires away and getting a set of tracks. Tracks cost about five times as much as a set of tires. Yes they are better for soft ground and grading but they are not cheap by any means. Most people have no idea what they are talking about. I've spent thousands of hours in a skid steer and prefer track machines but running them on hard surfaces will wear them out quick.
I love seeing someone who really knows what the heck their doing just walk up and say, "Let me help you with that", and then proceed to show us all that we don't know jack. The guy who drove it out must have at least a decade of experience on equipment like that. Great Job!
Looks to me like he had about the same amount of experience as the first guy. He was doing it right by using the bucket the biggest problem with how he was doing it he dumped the bucket towards him all the way. When the cylinder is all the way extended you don’t have very much power if he would have at least brought the cylinder back in a few inches it would have had the power to push him back
Tires are not meant for this terrain. They had to use the tracks version of the bobcat. But as they got themselves stuck multiple times i guess it was some kind of competition.
Thanks, you saved my ass because I just got my dads tractor stuck after he told me not to mess with it while he was gone but I got it unstuck, you saved my life
Thank you so much for this video! Yesterday rented bobcat. My first time with bobcat, and first time stuck in mud, thought that its enough dry! Thx to this, learned how to get out! Thank you SOOOO MUCH!!
Alvis Kums can't tell if your serious or not but you're welcome accidentally shot this video years ago I'll never understand why it gets viewed so much.
I'm really serious. I'm software developer, i never had ride with such a things. Really needed to do some outdoors things, so rented bobcat. Driv all day, everything was fine, and at the evening wanted to pull out stumps (hope its correct to say). So...drive in places i shouldn't :) first thought, let's google, how to get out :)
Now this is the main reason why my gardner who is going to put in some concrete for us where it all used to be dirt, it just rained a day or so ago and he told me plainly that for him to be able to use his bobcat, the ground has to be pretty much dry or this in the video would exactly happen to his, just spin all 4 wheels, now I font know if whoever owned the Bobcat in the video, if he also had the Trax for it, but the trax probably would have been a better choice for how muddy it was that day when you filmed this.......and since these run on Desel fuel, buying fuel for these Bobcats cant be considered cheep nowdays.....
I had to dig 50' through a ten foot deep snow pile from the side road to the highway one time so I could continue snowplowing. Skiddys are not my favorite machines.

@LiezAllLiez That comment shows how much you sit behind a computer and do nothing manly. The bobcat is the most versatile machine ever invented. Some call it the swiss army knife of machinery. You can get well over 100 different attachments for them. The wheels are that close so it can turn around in small spaces. This medium size bobcat can lift 2000lbs 8' in the air and turn a full 360 in an 8' dia circle. Can your prius do that? The guys running it in a mud bog should be kicked in the nuts.
@realtvnow You dont need a decade of experience for THAT,lol.Ive been operating bobcats for 2 years now and i would unstuck that with ease. You need only couple of months actually and youd be driving like a pro XD Its simple... PS english is not my native language so sorry for any mistakes.

You are obviously not very bright when it comes to skid steers- the tires are close together so it can skid-steer, they dont turn like your toyota does
This video saved me today. Thank you! I prayed for wisdom, and then found your video!

Earthmoving services require lot of technical skills to carry out task perfectly. Great video showing step by step working of bobcat machine.

I'm wondering if it's time for a new set of Tires? Just thinking aloud here!

How about some tyres with tread ?
battery300 Chains
battery300 who needs tread when you have a plow?
Brian Martinez A BUCKET ? not always the answer , I can get a backhoe stuck

good driven. i love the lil skid steers. so versitial.
why not use the tractor in the background to pull it out

+Andrew Silva , tracks for it? Can they really switch over from wheels to tracks on the same tractor?
steers are all torque and little speed, tire chains should make it impervious to improvised trenches =P
Somethin sounds real healthy in the background
Put tubo in that or make it in to a sleeper a sleeper is a car that looks slow but goes fast

Been there a few times when my buddy gets out smarted by his bobcat lol.

+CadenStahl275 sure have.
