    I don’t know if you guys know how much you are helping with these videos but I’ll tell you they really help a lot.
    I’m 66 and weld a little on pipe pens and implements and just for fun. If you would have told me when I was young that I liked welding I would have laughed.
    I’ll never be a pipeliner but I like to do something to the best of my ability.
    I’ve been watching several different welders videos for about three months and you can’t believe how much I improved.
    Also the little tips about working really help. I’m glad you guys are sharing your knowledge.

    These crack repairs are excellent! Don't be afraid to show the welding/gouging "again"...... because there's always something a little different/or can be seen more clearly; and besides, that's what we're all here to watch-
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the video. Is there any particular reason you choose that wide weave pattern when doing repairs?

    • @NBSWELDING
      @NBSWELDING  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't have to stop and chip slag as much...if those were stringer beads that I allowed to cool as I went from bottom to top then I'd have to remove slag each time I ran another pass....the way I weave I go from bottom to top with a complete coverage pass before I do any slag removal at all

    Im curious, is there a reason you gouge away so much material around the crack? Seems to me like a lot of extra work just to fill it all up again

    • @NBSWELDING
      @NBSWELDING  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      That material has flexed and suffered metal fatigue...not just where the crack is but around the crack also...and considering that I want to fuse all of it to the outer plate also then it's really not being opened up excessively in my opinion.

    You need a magneflex tester

    • @NBSWELDING
      @NBSWELDING  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've been around those alot in the drilling industry...I don't think they will show any crack better than a torch flame will...I already have torches and use them for many other uses...I think magnaflux is unnecessary for me.

    Is that The Judge making an appearance at 0:06 (.410g & .45cal)? Thats a real nice pea shooter there. Its nice having the choice of 2 different types of rounds in one package. Just be careful w\ the u tubes looking down upon that frowning, or doing worse. Theyre funny with that stuff, ya know(woke-anti 2A)!? Anyways keep it up. You'll always have work with those loggers, its real hard on equipment up there! 👍🏻👌🏻👷🏼‍♂️🪓✔️🪓🛠️🔧🔨🚜👨🏼‍🏭🔌🔋⚡💥🗜️📐🔩📏
