Well seeing as how income and revenue statements aren't available for McFarlane Toys until February the following year, I don't know how you'd know what their 2024 sales are, but as of February 2023 they averaged $15.4 Million in Revenue and saw their PM at 3.2% with an average estimated growth of 2.6% per year based on 2023 sales ....... Which is to say they are a mere drop in the bucket compared to companies like Mattel and Hasbro as far as sales and PM go ....... Not to mention that from a layman's perspective, you can find half of their 2024 offerings at Ross, Ollie's and DD's right now, ..... Then, one of the biggest retailers, Target, drop their 2024 orders for McFarlane product by 40%, which is why we had a DC Multiverse wave release on Todd's website this year, at inflated prices, instead of where it was supposed to be released, in Target retail stores ...... Then there's the fact that I have a 96.3% thumbs up ratio on this video ..... All of which doesn't speak well for their 2024 sales

You literally said what was on my mind for the last few years. I really hate how McFarlane is handling the DC Multiverse line. I stopped collecting this line. I only picked up two figures this year. My money is going to mostly Joe Classifieds and Jada Toys Street Fighter and Megaman. The thing is The DC characters are my all time favorite characters to collect and McFarlane literally drove me away. I still have my DCUC collection which I will never part from and that is my “Super Powers” Dc line. I am content with that line. Mattel only really needed to add double knees and elbows. Also, and it’s probably in the back of your mind, the reason that movie Doomsday is in the first form and not the final form which most people wanted and is closer to the comic look…….so they can make the second form later and try and make you double dip. I just saw his latest classic Aquaman. That pissed me off. He could have painted the trunks black(or not)but the real stupid thing was the water wavy hair. If he just had normal hair and black trunks and we finally could have gotten a classic Aquaman. But nooo. He gonna do one later after all these years. So stupid.
Yes McFarlane definitely went the cheap route with this mess. I only got it for Henry Cavill. He knew that whack Doomsday mess wasn't going to sell by itself.
Doomsday there is made like those hollow ABS 12" ToyBiz Superhero figures from the 90's that KB Toys sold for $10. I rarely buy 2-packs of any line, bc there's always one good figure packed with one that they've either already released or that I don't want. If they'd have made Cavil Supes with a wire cape available separately, I'd have gotten him. And, if that Doomsday was made like Swamp Thing or Man-Bat in his own mega figure box, I'd have gotten him. But I'm gonna pass on them both. Todd is about making money. He doesn't care about accuracy (one-seater '89 Batmobile) or if he angers his customers by making essential figures like Wonder Woman impossible to find unless you want to pay dbl or triple on eBay.
The biggest problem with McF is his obsession with chase and collectors type figures because the most wanted and best versions of characters always get put behind these 'walls' and because of demand and the fact that they don't have much stock of it to begin with, most of it get sold to scalpers who then go on to charge from $100 to $150 on Ebay for these figures. McFarlane really needs to re-evaluate their business model because clearly while it may be working to some degree for them, it's actually putting customers and collectors away from the line.
I feel like some of criticism is unfair, for example the ‘defensive edition’ is purely preference, I am extremely happy with both my Batman and Justice league shelf, sure it took some time, but how often do we get defensive editions of Marvel Legends? Hell, try to build a Justice League from mafex, maybe your grandchildren will be able to finish it
I completely understand personal preference ...... and I'm not suggesting Mafex is a better option, but McFarlane could do a lot better with the way they execute well known looks and costumes for characters ..... They are always taking a certain comic look for a character and adding panel lines, armor, tech pieces, artist specific face sculpt, side eye, or just outright using the wrong body for a character ....... I mean how long did McFarlane use the stupid Bizarro body, which is a hulking/misshapen upper body buck, for all of their regular Superman figures ...... They leave a l;ot to be desired ..... But I appreciate u watching and taking the time to comment
Gotta get a deal! I play the long game unless it's something I really want. I'll pick up the mega figs around the $30 range. If I don't get it.. I don't get it. Instead of over paying i'll wait maybe pickup a 3rd party version. pay a little more and get a better fig.
He has good and bad stuff as the 2 pack you bought proves. I'm not a completionest, l don't have to get everything. Sometimes l regret not getting something but most figs l pass on, I'll watch a review and be glad l passed. I agree 💯 with yhe scaling of 7 inch to 6 inch. I'd rather pay $30 for a 6 with more stuff and better articulate and less variants.
See this is what I’m talking about with dc multiverse I dislike the fact that there’s so many chase variants of characters that don’t even have a regular release and on top of that they’re hard to find unless you preorder day one and the whole gold platinum label thing I dislike more because what if you never find the figure you want and never get the chance to own it because of either price or scalpers. Marvel doesn’t have the best track record but at least we’ve gotten the comic book looks we love and want and we don’t have to get them through crazy means aside from store exclusives. Thank you for making this video because this is how I was feeling with the whole dc line and which Todd would when making figures think of the fans and little and I mean I love Batman he’s my favorite dc hero but come on we don’t need a hundred different Batman and yet we don’t have characters like the metal men or a regular plastic man figure that’s not a build a fig also the whole 250 for the joker fig and set is insane and because they had to pay for Robert deniro likeness when the figure doesn’t even look a hair like him lol 😂
Yeah all the special editions that very few people get a chance to get a hold of, unless you wanna pay scalper prices, are usually the looks for characters people actually want ...... and yeah, that Joker 2-pack set is INSANELY priced! ...... Appreciate ya watching!
Personally, I really don't agree with your points in the video. I LOVE Mcfarlane's DC Mulitiverse, but mostly due to the fact that I am a MOVIE collector only, and not a comics collector, so the idea of a DEFINITIVE version of the character for me is a bit bland since I have Michael Keaton's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman, among other DCEU related figures. That being said, I guess I do understand your grievance with this. Honeslty, if I were to collect comic characters they would most likely be Elseworld to fit my film style (Gotham by Gaslight or Todd's own Batman design are PEAK). I love Todd's designs and the articulation for the figures isn't bad. I love how he's investing the wired cape concept and it's one of the only reasons the BVS 2 pack kind of inticed me (still won't buy it though 😂). Personally, the one major mistake Todd made was with the Joker Murray set. 250,00 is TOO MUCH.
I don't agree. A lot of it is preference and not everyone is collecting things for the same reason. I don't buy it all but the DC Multiverse collection I do have I love.
I 100% agree with you - the dcuc stuff is so much better! You can get the character that you want in its original interpretation as well as other variations of it. Best of all it scales in with most other action figure Alliance whether it be Marvel Legends GI Joe or anything that there are predominantly a lot of within the scale. 1/12 scale means 6 in. 1/10 scale means 7 in. So to me it's not even a question. I really do wish somehow Hasbro could get the DC license so that we could get everything on those bodies. I'm so sick and tired of McFarland's stuff.
I sold all my Mcfarlane's. Including my complete Dark Knight Trilogy. I've had it with terrible joints, scaling, versions, etc. And I gave up waiting for a good classic Superman.
I don’t like that he overdues Batman and a lot of character repeats … But I understand it’s what keeps the line going … I think he has plenty of characters to choose from , so if you want to be a complitionist McFarlene will make you buy all his crazy iterations …but I still think is a good line
I collect the McFarlane Batman figures. Sure, they aren’t perfect but I enjoy collecting and having them. Often, the same people who rip on McFarlane stuff will rave about Mattel/Hasbro and how they’re “crushing it”. Realistically, it’s obvious that the only difference between Marvel Legends and happy meal toys is the price.
As a MOC collector ABS and PVC dont make a bit of difference to me , I want them in package and looking good with a window box so I can see it in package .. but I can totally understand what you loosers are saying about toys feeling cheap in hand .. And the reason they made this Dooms Day version first is so they can make the Rock Star version second .. would anyone buy this version of Dooms Day if they already had the Rock Star version of Dooms Day on their shelves ??? I would say .... nope .. but if this was the only film accurate Dooms Day on the Market , then game on , I will get one .. see how that works ? when you already have an established line that is doing well , you peter out the lesser thans first , then hit them with the one they really want later , that way in the long run you end getting the people to buy more of your product .. Make no mistake fellas and dolls , making toys is all about making money ... always has been and always will be.. if they stop making money off of these toys , then they stop making these toys .. HO! HO! HO! MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

MEN'S PELVISES ARE NARROWER, NOT WIDER, THAN THEIR TORSOS, EVEN ON AN AMPLE GUY. EVERY MALE 7 INCH DC FIGURE LOOKS LIKE IT RELIES ON DEPEND FOR THE BOOST IT NEEDS TO FIGHT CRIME CONFIDENTLY. AVAILABLE AT WALGREENS.
-PINS?! Todd, it's the 21st century. I had pin free DC figures in 1984, and now I am spoiled forever. Despite the brevity, this is my biggest, most unforgivable gripe. Pins. What are you doing, bud? Seriously. On that topic...
-What in the blue f--- is the deal with no women in the Super Powers line? I'm a gay dude who worships Wonder Woman, and even I don't want figures of an all-dude DCU with her as their unchallenged queen. Who is this for? This line turned the promise of my nostalgia into confused anger. Shakes fist at sky.
In closing, I am hoping he loses the license more than I hope he removes pins from figures, or looks at the 1982 style guide, although doing either would fix a lot of my ire.
Speak for yourself I wanted that doomsday because I'm a huge Snyder fan I bought the pack and I agree with you to figure sucks because it feels so cheap I already had the other Superman so I didn't actually one or care about the re-release I bought this for the Doomsday and was disappointed.
Well I'm a Snyder fan too ..... Man of Steel is one of the greatest Superhero movies of all time ..... But I still hate that look for Doomsday ..... Lol ..... Appreciate ya watching
Ragman: 40 bucks for trashy paint apps
I miss DC Direct. I stopped collecting McFarlane and I have moved to MAFEX. I know the price difference but worth every penny.
Gotta disagree- I wouldn’t even collect DC without McFarlane - based on 2024 sales, most agree with me
Well seeing as how income and revenue statements aren't available for McFarlane Toys until February the following year, I don't know how you'd know what their 2024 sales are, but as of February 2023 they averaged $15.4 Million in Revenue and saw their PM at 3.2% with an average estimated growth of 2.6% per year based on 2023 sales .......
@@GeekFusion_TVliking your own comment? Why not, I guess😂
@@malfeitor1349 Well I left the comment, and the person I was responding to hadn't commented back, so I read the comment I left and thought "Damn, that's good shit right there" ..... and couldn't help but give it a Like ..... Sometimes you even impress yourself ..... Especially when it's so good the person doesn't even have a way to respond to it cause it shattered their argument so badly
@ touché sir.
Checked out after the Karen moment at target
Lol
So stupid.
I agree 100% ..... Double dipping is a company tagline for McFarlane ...... Thanks 4 watching!
Yes McFarlane definitely went the cheap route with this mess. I only got it for Henry Cavill. He knew that whack Doomsday mess wasn't going to sell by itself.
Yup, he really cheaped out on this one ..... and maybe I could justify if he was charging $50 bucks, but $70 is ridiculous ..... Thanks 4 watching
Exactly .... Thanks 4 watching!
Absolutely agree ..... Thanks 4 watching
Feel Todd makes us wait years giving us almost what we want to keep us going and buying. I am buying mabey 3 if his figures in 2025 only
I feel like some of criticism is unfair, for example the ‘defensive edition’ is purely preference, I am extremely happy with both my Batman and Justice league shelf, sure it took some time, but how often do we get defensive editions of Marvel Legends? Hell, try to build a Justice League from mafex, maybe your grandchildren will be able to finish it
Same
I completely understand personal preference ...... and I'm not suggesting Mafex is a better option, but McFarlane could do a lot better with the way they execute well known looks and costumes for characters .....
That's a good strategy ..... Thanks 4 watching
💯 accurate on that Doomsday. It is inexcusable. I saw the Clayface figure at a resale place near me for $9. Laughed and said no thanks.
U criticize mcfarlane but criticize Zack Snyder even more😂 u are right
I do believe mcfarlane DC figures are th best ever made for retail prices. Ever
Well Todd does do a better job with his movie/live action stuff, so I understand ..... Thanks 4 watching
You sound like a normie and turd midfartlame sux
I don't agree. A lot of it is preference and not everyone is collecting things for the same reason. I don't buy it all but the DC Multiverse collection I do have I love.
If you like it and think it's worth the money, then in the end, that's all that matters ....... Appreciate ya watching
More stuff I won’t be buying from McFarlane.
70 dollars just buy a mafex at that point
100% agree .... Thanks 4 watching!
I think Mafex are so pricey, but I cannot fault your logic here.
120 pounds in uk mate
Bro that's crazy!
From where, seen them a lot of cheaper
Doesn't this guy do gun reviews too?
Lol I knew he look familiar
Guns, Gear and Politics ...... Been doing it for 15 years on my other channel ...... Thanks 4 watching brother
I know exactly what you mean ...... Appreciate ya watching
I don’t like that he overdues Batman and a lot of character repeats …
But I understand it’s what keeps the line going … I think he has plenty of characters to choose from , so if you want to be a complitionist McFarlene will make you buy all his crazy iterations …but I still think is a good line
McFarland is 🗑
I collect the McFarlane Batman figures.
You need your eyes checked
