Matt Cameron is one of my favs as well, and I beg to differ with your opening "disclaimer" about this song not being very complicated. As compared with most standard heavy rock rhythms patterns, it's rather complex...and you totally nailed it, my friend!

The BEST cover I’ve seen of this complication. This is not an easy set to play. Check other covers on TH-cam and you will agree this is not easy at all.

I stumbled upon this months ago..and i find myself coming back to watch this every so often...not only because it's a great song to drum to....but mainly because you remind me so much of my late cousin who took his own life back in the late 90's...your posture, your profile, your technique, your head and body movements and motions are so much like his used to be...it's almost like watching him all over again....i spent so much time watching him and learning to drum in his shed...he's the one that inspired me to drum...thanks for a great drum cover.

@Andycap1001 Thanks for your comment man. And yeah, I am aware of the difference in the tom pattern. I made a conscious decision to modify the part to fit with my 2-rack-tom set up, Simply because I enjoyed it. Great job noticing that though!

i agree - nice performance, and great sound on the toms and the cymbals don't wash out everything, the snare is balanced well with the toms - great sound for just one overhead....makes me think Sony Vegas is the problem with my drum sound...don't want to pony up for Pro Tools tho.

cameron is the best and you my friend have done an absolute bang on job of this. i would be content to just have recordings of camerons parts on their own. just like cornells voice doesnt need music, cameron doesnt need to have accompaniment to still be compelling

Great job, of all the recordings of this tune I have seen, this is the closest one to it being played right. The only thing that needs to be changed is how you play the tom pattern. Cameron doesn't go down the toms, he alternates between the rack and the floor toms. Left hand stays on the rack, right hand stays on the floor. Check out Soundgarden live in Paris in 1992, you get to see it a lot because Cornell is standing in front of the kit the whole time. Still sounds badass though, keep it up!!
