The reason that I am writing to you is because I had a question about Blue Tiger Eye. I know that the Golden Tiger Eye is harmless but I have read different articles about The Blue saying that the stone might still contain active asbestos inside. Now I really wanted to buy Blue Tiger to add to my collection, but the asbestos part concerns me. To end my comment my question is : Is there anything that I should worry about the Blue Tiger? Hi Kristi, First of all thank you for subscribing! You are right there is some conflicting information out there about asbestos in blue Tigers eye. Please note that this usually only affects people who are actively working with it if you are sanding and polishing and carving it in a large quantity for a long period of time and the dust is filling your lungs. Wearing polished Tigers eye jewelry is not going to affect you. In the tiny rare chance that it will, I would stick with pieces that do not have powder coming out of them. In general you should not be handling stones that have powdery substances.
