I'm pretty sure they first started making them in 66. My first garden tractor was a 10 with an aluminium dash, nose cone, and starter generator motor ( all found on first-year tractors). I believe it was # 178 off the production line. It was so early that there weren't any holes in the back plate to mount a tiller since they had not made that attachment yet. still have it, cant beat a massey!
Those Techumseh 10 hp engines were a ticking time bomb. Deere used them as well. Hollow crank pin that let the rod bearing overheat and just eat it's self. Have a 112 Fenderdeck with this engine. Rvery engine or crankshaft you find is wiped out. Repower to something else if you are going to work it. Those variable drives made them fast.
Tiller, snowblower and 42 inch lawn deck came with the M.F 12 I bought about 30 years ago. Very rugged equipment.! But yes sadly the rectangular housing around the headlights at the front of the hood above the grill is plastic and all busted out 😢
Very nice! If he likes the hub caps, that's okay with me!
that is awesome you can tell how much he really cares about his tractor id love to pick one of these up someday
Built in downtown Algoma, WI in the winter, snowmobiles in the summer. Those were the days.
An kind M-F is a nice tractor. Thanks for sharing.

I'd be proud to own that.
I’m working on a 1968 Massey Ferguson 10 right now
Cool stuff. Reminds me of my Uncle's grain farm in out in Manitoba.

Nice , but get rid of the chrome .I'm old school .
Chrome IS old school.
I just paid 100$ for a really good running original
They never made plastic hoods for the massey 10 they turned them into stamped steel not plastic
He wasnt referring to the hoods being plastic. The nose trim and dash were made out of aluminum on the 66 mf10s. Not sure why he says its a 67
Fiberglass not plastic
Never were fiberglass. After the first year the dashes and nose trim piece were made of plastic
It's in iii is a
