Top interview, he probably blasted over my high school in the Scottish borders back in the day!

Man, I REALLY enjoyed this one. His part about what it was like for him on 9/11 was fascinating, he was all ready to get into the fight, like that day. But, totally get the optics of that from the embassy’s view.

Minutes in & thumbs up as Mal, my Dad was a bomb aimer on XV Squadron in 1944. “Strike hard, strike sure”.

@@malcraghill7 Yes. He was very proud of being in XV Squadron and served the RAF for almost 50 years.

Awesome interview! Really enjoyed this one, and complete respect for saying the Lancaster as a memorable moment.

I was in a B course in the Eagles in 2001 with an Australian exchange that went up to AK. I was a grey beard Capt transitioning from the EA-6. Prior to that was 111 time.

For most of my time out there it was Paul Simmons, but Matt came out towards the end of my tour.

@@malcraghill7 hey Mal, thanks for the reply. Your story was really cool to here and I love learning more about the Brits and their adventures as an Aussie myself. I myself am going through the application process for the RAAF aiming for pilot and I've been trying to reach out to former RAAF pilots. Of you are still in contact with him, is there any chance you could put me onto Paul Simmonds? I've already been luck enough to get some stuff answered for me by Matt Hall but each person I can get to know can only help me and as a person with no current or former ADF family members it's really helpful to me to gain some insight on the RAAF through others experiences.
