Billy Stanley is such a cheerful person in the Elvis story. I'm so happy he shared this...

I wasn’t going to watch this but so glad I did. I really love his admiration for Elvis and all the positive comments. I wasn’t aware of the book but Joe on Elvis Rare Photos is reading it and it is so enjoyable. Thank you this was awesome. Well done.

Billy is a very special person. You can tell how much he loved Elvis as his brother. I love how compassionate he is. I honestly thought that he was going to cry over the abuse Lisa Marie suffered from Precilla's live in boyfriend 'Mike Edwards'. Lisa would have had a much different life had Elvis lived. It's so sad that Precilla let the sexual abuse and spankings that left bruises continue for years instead of throwing Edwards out of the house and reporting it to the police so Mike Edwards would have been arrested. I haven't read Billy' book but I would like to because I would like to know more about the faith of Elvis. Thank you for having Billy.

Everyone has their stories of Elvis, BUT, I like Billy’s the most. His are like he says the real Elvis behind the music. The everyday Elvis. He has so many stories every time I watch any interview with him. I like the stories he tells about everyday things they did and things Elvis said.

It would break your heart all over again to read the Lisa Marie book. I just finished it, and I am glad to have a better look into who she was, but it was hard, and she suffered way too much for such an amazing person. I am just starting the Faith of Elvis now. My heart goes out to all of you, Elvis and his family.

I agree with you Billy that there is no such thing as a "perfect" Christian. I am so glad you talked about this, and that he got rid of books and things that drew him away for the Lord! I also haad a near God experience and I will never forget it, and also loved your Near God Experience! And yes! Do a book on Elvis and his cars! my Dad is 92 and he and my brother and cousins and me would love it!

And I agree with you a movie on the Faith of Elvis would be great!! I want to hear about the GOOD he did and not the negative stuff thats repeated over and over.

Yes for sure - we need more books and movies that emphasize all the good Elvis did in the world :)

How I wish I could have known him as a friend. Know the real Elvis, not to get anything but to truely know him. His gospel music was the first I bought at 16, He Touched Me was my favorite song. This was in 1970, then I went to see him in Vegas in 1971-1972. Unless people happen to read something about him they can't imagine he was a Christian! Elvis was a Christian of that I have no doubt. Im listening to KATHY Westmorelands book, she described their time together and his faith in Jesus. I haven't read your book yet but I plan to.

Billy. The Smiths have said you were banned from Graceland. Would you care to share why?

Also I think it was wonderful for you to write this especially after the flop of a movie imho that was made that left out sooo much of who he really was!! No mention of his faith in God at all. It made me very upset. I didn’t like the movie at all. Butler did wonderful but that’s where it ended

Elvis stood for Law & Order! He was obviously a Republican.

  • @deedtease

He may have been a republican, but being loyal to your country is NOT STR8CTLY A REPUBLICAN WAY!! I feel he surely wouldnt be on boaed with the one we have running for president today.
