It's part of an old Rolls multichannel headphone distribution system (Google Rolls HM60 and HM58). The DB25 cables (printer cables as you said) carry power and 8 channels of unbalanced audio to each box from a master unit (located by the drummer). It's a nice and simple system, but no longer in production.

The box on top of the Hammond console seems to be a Centronics box to share printers , isn't it ?
What it's useful for on the Hammond,? Is it modded box to be used as a passive line mixer ?
