It was full blown total violation of First Ammendment rights, accusing NWA for inciting riots just for singing on records. When, in fact, the only threat of violence came from the police themselves. In our eyes, these were brave men, who stood up for citizens' rights, and were not afraid to speak on the day to day realities of life in tha hood, racism, and police brutality. I remember my father showing me the newspaper articles about it all, and he got a hold of an NWA tape and I played that thang till the ribbon broke and I couldn't splice it anymore!
