Why did people hate Mike so much? I personally thought he was the funniest host. Definitely like him more than Sam (no offense I like Sam too)
people did not hate mike but tabletalk used tb be about variety just random people its not supposed to be pruduced and hosted iits about people talking at a table lol
It's not necessarily that people don't like him. It's more like too much of one thing gets a bit boring.
I like Mike it's just sometimes he tries too hard and his hosting approach is very much a Zaragoza rip off.
He has ONE style of humor. And he absolutely drags it out.

the problem with Mike is that's he's very much a stand-up comedian, and the TableTalk just turns into the podcast every time he's on it
Isn't that more interesting than hearing the hosts favorite food, or movies for the 100th time? at least mike makes an effort to make actual entertainment
the problem you're describing is bad questions, not bad hosting. Mike can do that on the podcast all he wants but unless you're gonna answer at least a couple of questions whats the point? just get rid of table talk don't drag its lifeless corpse on the floor if you're gonna do it like that
I know it may never happen, but I will probably always ship Sam and Maude. I think they have great chemistry together.

Sam's mannerisms are "I'm SOORRY" before explaining or defending himself and also losing control of his shoulders when uncomfortable
Maude's mannerism is "Choclutt" and all the other cute Australian colloquialisms like "Maccy's"
Steve's mannerism is deepening his voice for the last word of a sentence like "Oooh I looove me some TEANUTDUDDER"
Mike's mannerism is "Lee-eel cup'a Qs" and "errr-gahead pick topic"
Matt's mannersism is any funny loud improv e.g. for wrestling "MY GOD IT'S PANDAMONIUM AT THE SOURCEFED OFFICES"!"
Will's mannerism is "You see, everbody wants too... But what a lot of people don't realise is that..." and also "Recently I leanred that..."
Reina's mannerism is singing "REINAAAAA" just because why the heck not?!
These aren't bad habits or traits... In fact I'd say I love them even more for their quirks!

This was by far the best TT since the format change. Sam, Maude, and Reina are a great combination.

they are too dumb to realize why the views where doing bad so they thought, fuck em.
They spread out the talent way too thin by having 4 different channels. Now the longest tenured host (and IMO the funniest) only shows up in sketches, never as himself.
I don't get why they'd switch to once a week but then not make the episodes longer :(

Still pretty long compared to traditional table talks. But yeah they even said it would be treated more like a podcast so it should be longer.
Because they're trying to pass it off as "New and improved" when in reality, they are the exact same thing with no actual improvements.

No, they're doing it because Table Talk takes too much time + effort from both the hosts and the editors.
man this is so much better the every day episodes, so much more quality, if you were going to make it once a week at least do like a 2 hour table talk

Honestly think it's mainly Americans that say it different. I was born here but my mom and her family all have accents and say it and other words differently
+Kalen Green Maude said Nokia pretty much perfectly. As in the same way we Finns say it. (Nokia is from Finland) So good job if you say it like she does :)
Some ways to fix tabletalk
*have continuous variety with who's hosting so people don't get sick of the same type of humor and the hosts never get boring
* have 15-20 min long episodes so the conversation doesn't get exhausted
* better monitoring of what questions get picked, seriously the same hosts will get the same question and answer the same way they did the last time it was pulled
Ways to not fix tabletalk
*do the exact same thing, but in a different room (it's not like it's a bad thing it was just unnecessary)
* stupid gimmicks like table talk takeaways or lil cup o qs (actually I liked mikes cup but not for every episode he's on it wore the bit out)
* when changes you've made aren't working, doing the exact same thing as always, just only once a week
I've been subscribed to sourcefed since day one, and I love and appreciate everything you guys do. These criticisms aren't meant to be mean hearted in any way.
When Steve and Mike agree on smtg they say "Yeah, Yeah, that's a double yeah" and it gets me everytime

in new zealand we have this bad habit of saying *"yeah yeah nah but yeah bro"* it applies to both agreeing and disagreeing. when we as a country realised this naturally the first move we made was to print it on a t-shirt cause reasons.
Trish and Steves mannerisms are something I picked up a couple years ago and still use. I always say "no no" and "weeeeeeeeell"

The story my parents always tell top new friends is when I was 7 my brother and I were playing with the old sticky hand whip things (90s kids will know). And I, shirtless and hyper, got up on the couch and screamed like Tarzan. latched my sticky hand whip to the ceiling and tried to swing across the room not realizing I was a human boy and that hand could handle maybe half an ounce of weight. I feel flat on my face and the hand came down and slapped me HARD right on the center of my back. it left a big red mark too and my mom made me stay still while she went to get the camera while laughing hysterically.
This table talk was so good, but because of the people and the dynamics of their conversations.

It's just that Mike was on the last 7 or 8 in a row, so you can see how it's understandable that I thought he had become a staple. It seemed like the formula had become, Mike + 1 other SF member + special guest = Table Talk.
Just hope they're not holding Mike accountable for the whims of the internet and its viewership patterns. =(

Parent stories:
One time I was in the shower and my mum just walked in and asked "Sam, will you pleeease come see San Andres with me?" and I said no because I was kinda scared of the movie but she kept begging and asking and I kept saying no and told her to find others to go with so then finally she turned to me, glared and then yelled "WELL THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOU" and then she started laughing as hard as she could and after a while she looked at me and just went "Oooooo that was baaaahahad" and I was just in shock but started laughing as well (This is just stuff me and my mum do, she's chill)
Another mum one is, she really likes telling people about my stupid moments she ALWAYS tells people about two specific times. One was when my mum sold our house and i asked how much we got and she said something like "660" and I gasped and yelled back "SIX HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS?! I COULD HAVE BOUGHT IT FOR THAT!!!" and then she fucking lost it with laughter and I realised my mistake.
The other was when mum was getting rid of an old washing machine and I asked why she didn't sell it instead. She said it was waaaay to old so I suggested parts of it to sell like the motor and she said it was too run down so my next suggestion was "The door" and she found it hysterical that I suggested she try to sell a washing machine door, of all things.
When I was 4, I dropped my cookie on the floor and said "Oh sit!"
I think it would be a cool idea if they would start putting the times of specific topics they talk about in each table talk. So put a time stamp you can click to for each question.

My mom once told the girl that I've had a crush on for years ( the daughter of a family friend ) that I take pizza slices and rub them on my nipples. I sarcastically told my mom this when she asked me why I kept taking food back to my room to eat. I was mortified.

heres the problem with the new format: it will get more views, not because its once a week, but because mike is no longer on every one of them, but they will associate that with having less content instead of what it really was; removing an oversaturated host.
Reina is the nicest person in the world. I met her and Steven suppy and they are both so amazing

This is the table talk I've missed!
I complained earlier about this being pretty much the same as the podcast. I see now this episode was indeed pretty awesome. I still don't think they should be the same hosts on the same day, but the quality is definitely up on this one.
My first curse word was "fuck". I was three (I think?), and my dad pushed me off the couch, so I stood up and said "What the fuck do you think you are doing?"
They still laugh about it, and I'm 25 now.
we have made the decision to instead of uploading 4 easy videos a week, we're going to pretend like we are putting more effort into 1 easy video per week and act like its higher quality!
Sam hitting his hand on the chair was the first time in months I've cried laughing, thank you so much.

The only thing I remember is when I was over my friend's house, I was talking to my dad over the phone and called my mom a bitch and the devil because she doesn't respect privacy...she was on the phone listening to me saying all of this and I didn't find out until I got home. On one hand I felt bad, on the other hand she kind of proved my point so I didn't genuinely apologize.
I've totally written a text about someone and then accidentally sent it to the same person.
All you can do after that is wait for the inevitable back-lash...

When speaking English (I'm Dutch, so not too often) I like to use the phrase Maude used in an episode of SourcefedNerd and bloopers, "kits and kats". It's an awesome way of addressing multiple people. :D

Maude is literally perfect
My mom's favorite thing to tell my friends is that I ate my twin in utero. Which is fine. But she'll almost always follow it up with "and she hasn't stopped eating since."
This is much better than recent Table Talks...but I don't think it's because of the schedule. I hate to say it (and I don't mean to be rude or anything), but I think the reason this is much better is because Mike isn't there. He's okay, but his brand of humor is just...different. And having him on all the time got old very fast. No offense to Mike, I just feel like his style isn't for me. And based on many comments on these videos, I don't think I'm the only one.

Best Table Talk in a looooong time.
This probably won't get seen by anyone at SourceFed, but my parent story is a good one. When I was about 13, I was sent to the vice principal's office for chewing gum three times. He told me he was going to call my parents, and that he didn't want to, because he doesn't like telling parents when their children have been bad. I told him he should consider a new job then. My mom came to the school later that day (completely unrelated to my being sent to the office), and I told her about it, right before the principal called her into his office. It cracked the principal up (the vice principal, not so much), he had a good laugh about it, my mom wasn't all that surprised. She didn't tell me she found it funny for about ten years, but apparently she'd told countless other people the story, as I've had friends of hers, and family ask me about it as an adult.

I have been watching table talk since its birth. I love Mike He is a wonderful addition and adds a driving force to the show. The one episode a week is truly disappointing this show has been with me through thick and thin its always around on my bad days to see a couple funny people just talk. Thats all we want just talk have a good time share a conversation. I cant speak for everyone but for me atleast i dont mind if it doesn't have huge production value doesn't even have to be super funny. Just talking brightens my day. Please i know allot of changes are happening you cant control but an episode a day i think is a far better format especially considering you already have a weekly hour long podcast.

My parents like to share the story to everyone that my first boyfriend was a bad kisser. They could be meeting a new boyfriend or just talking to some coworkers and out of nowhere my mom goes "Can I please tell them about Danny? So Lena's first boyfriend was such a bad kisser-" And like it's not that it isn't true, because it is, but he was legitimately a nice guy and he doesn't deserve that to be passed around. I was at a baby shower with my mom and her and coworkers and extended family and 50 people I didn't know were there and they were talking about college frat party stories and out of nowhere my mom just goes "So Lena's first boyfriend was such a bad kisser, apparently he kissed like a washing machine or a dog. Huh Lena, tell them!" and then invites me to elaborate??? There is no need for that. Nobody cares. It's more embarrassing for her than it is for me tbh
Sourcefed has been the death of me. I have picked up so many mannerisms from mike and steeee and will. Its amazing because my friends don't watch sourcefed and they laugh their asses off
I thought/hoped since this is once a week now that they'd be like an hour long
I can't tell if I liked this one more than some of the recent uploads just because I like these hosts a lot or if it's because there was more effort put into it. All I know is that if it were episodes like this, I wouldn't mind having Table Talk three times a week like it was on SourceFed Nerd.

Hey SF, plz hear me out. Great episode,long time subscriber. I get that you guys are always testing out new things and finding the best way to do things, and probably get told off anytime there is any sort of new changes but table talk on the weekend only is BRUTAL. I look forward to having a half hour ish show to watch Monday to Thursday, it's the first thing I watch when I get home from work, the light conversations/shenanigans really help me unwind. With the previous schedule it was like I got my daily fix, a day or 2 of being like "aw no TT today, but SF podcast soon". Just saying I already miss the content and the old schedule, and cmon TT is so easy to produce.
