Maintaining a Macadamia Nut Farm

We first heard from David and Isabel Robinson after they had recently acquired a macadamia nut farm that was neglected for 5 years. They were excited to bring the land back to life with the help of their Ventrac 4500 and attachments.
Two years later, we re-visit David and Isabel on their South Wales farm to hear about the progress they have made on their property. They are happy to report increasing yields and harvesting more than 30 ton of macadamia nuts this season. They are extremely pleased with the job the Ventrac has done for them in many applications.
Macadamia nut orchards require a great deal of upkeep and work as David explains the eco-system involved with keeping his trees healthy and thriving. Overgrowth of brush and tall plants around and under the trees allows for an ideal habitat for rats, which in turn damage the macadamia crop.
But with the Ventrac Tough Cut, they are able to keep the grass mowed short which allows for predators like snakes and owls to come in.
David was also impressed with the Power Broom’s ability to sweep clean the orchard floor and contour around the trees to keep the tree roots covered. They also enjoyed the Aerator attachment which made caring for the ground effortless and in turn increased crop yields.
Finally, David is most impressed by the Ventrac’s slope mowing capabilities on the steepest parts of his property.

I love ventrac for the same reasons that those guys had!
You should make a video of a beef farmers perspective of the ventral. We are right in Chelsea MI we have a lot of things we could do with it
I am going to buy a Ventrac. However, is there any reason you keep your prices a secret? Seems counter-intuitive to me.
@Tsunauticus III Okay, if you say so - but I would submit that nobody spends that kind of money on impulse. BTW - the prices I have been quote so far are significantly lower than 32 grand

@@LorneClarkeMusic they are around 27/28 thousand dollars and all the attachments cost a little bit it's not that bad when you're looking at something that is pure quality and will last you a lifetime if not longer I don't have one I would love to have one I don't have the money right now but when I do I'm all over this that's my input I think it is a great unit and there's tons of videos of other people using this outside of the ventrac videos good luck my friend I hope you get one man👊👊
Can a maca nut harvester be fitted to such a machine? I’m establishing a macadamia orchard and such a machine as the Ventrac would be useful & worth the expense if it can pick up nuts from the ground & transport them to a drop off point,

This is about a previous video, but for one of these, it is like $30,000 ( for the tractor). And you said that this is reasonably priced. You can get brand new cars for far cheaper than this, and it’s a lawn mower. You may as well get horses for a field.
