What grinder are you using ? Some coffees also tend to make lots of fines with my grinder clogging it up so it just depends. I wouldn't worry too much and adjust to taste instead of focusing on the time :) !

how is your coffee grind not clogging up? with that grind size i'm having trouble with drainage
