I’ve played it many times but prefer playing it the way Matlock wrote it and recorded it on the earlier sessions before he left. That’s not to knock NMTB, it’s my favourite album of all time.

Matlock was a really good player, look up the pre NMTB recordings, his bass was very prominent and quite sophisticated at times, think the best example of his playing is on I Wanna Be Me, killer bass line. Oh, and he was a finger style player not a pick player.
