Then why didn't he just say that he loves her directly? He knows Scarlett is not smart in analyzing people's emotions, he even said it multiple times. And let's say she would use his love as a whip, but Rhett willingly enters that relationship, he already knows what he is getting into, the probable outcome. So why blame her?
You have a one sided view of this story. Rhett failed to gain the total trust of Scarlett. He wasn’t right for her. I really don’t see any chemistry between these two. Vivien was interviewed and she hated even kissing Clark Gable due to his foul bad breath.
I come to this edit quite often and I must say - the scenes which you picked are just so perfectly matched with the song. When Lana sings "dear Lord, when I go to heaven" and there is this scene with Scarlett worrying about going to hell because she wasn't good enough to Frank? Perfect. Comedic and tragic at the same time. And of course heartbreaking ending, this edit is a piece of art in itself. Mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing it with us!
