George and Charlotte are my favorite Bridgerton couple, hands down! They have passion and commitment of the other couples but there's a gentleness with them that is not with the other couples

Charlotte and George the Third had 15 children. Two boys died before they were five in the same year. Their youngest daughter Amelia died in her mid-twenties (re that scene between Charlotte and George in season 1 of Bridgerton).
The young woman who died while giving birth to a stillborn or during a miscarriage) at the beginning of this episode was their granddaughter Charlotte. The man who keeps crying is the late Princess Charlotte's father, George and Charlotte's eldest son, George the Prince Regent (declared so because his father was considered mentally unfit to rule), and future King George the Fourth (generally regarded through history as a bit of a joke because of his spending and his drinking). George the fourth kind of famously hated his wife Caroline of Brunswick whom he only married because Parliament agreed to pay off his debts, they disliked each other before they met and it only got worse after the wedding, from what I can tell he constantly cheated on her and was always looking from a reason to divorce her (hard to do in those days), but apparently genuinely loved his daughter.

And a lot of people are bashing her for the kids situation but you gotta think all of them were adults by then so she gave them free will to marry when they wanted but they were at that point now where they had no heirs and the king was very ill by then
Yeah, some people like to try and compare what happened to Queen Charlotte when she was 17 to what she's now doing to her own children in present day but the situations are completely different because her children are fully adults by the time she's forcing them to get married because they haven't gotten married on their own yet... whereas she was like a kid when she got married. Two different situations, IMO. She gave them ample time to find wives or husbands of their own...and they didn't.
There are theories about Queen Charlotte having "moor-blood" as they say in the show which was a reference to people of african or arab decent. The theories if I remember correctly are that she would have some african ancestry because of her facial features and skin colour.
this soundtrack has to be hands down my favorite of all the bridgerton soundtracks. This is just my kind of music. They had songs by SZA, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton, and not one, not two, but THREE Beyoncé songs😭🤭
Girl she still love George. They love was real and true even in Bridgetown it’s clear . And at the end of the series you will see that too

In real life Charlotte’s daughters married in their thirties. They unfortunately had no children and her sons initially only had illegitimate children

@@zzy4306 I think they're talking about the situation in current-day in the show. Because obviously we know that the Royal line did continue at some point because it exists to this day.... The show shows exactly how the line has continued and it's kind of a spoiler to be talking about it in an episode one reaction... Like yeah, obviously, she eventually DOES get her children to marry and have a legitimate child. But in present time in the show that hasn't happened yet. So ops' comment is correct because they're not spoiling any events that happen and play out in the show.

Queen Charlotte wasn't black but she had black ethnicity ehe was mixed
fun fact: Many historians and scholars believe that the actual Queen Charlotte was descended from black people (this rumor has been around for a while, even before Bridgerton aired) Many different people would paint portraits of Queen Charlotte. In a lot of them, she looks like a regular white lady, but some portraits of her displayed her having some black features. These were done by artist who were known to be against slavery. At the time, painters would downplay features that were seen as "undesirable" (there is a scene like this in the later episodes) but these painters who were against slavery would paint her with these features. and it has been stated that Queen Charlotte was directly descended from a black branch of the portuguese royal house. ig we will never know the truth, but I kind of believe it😭🤭🫶🏽
