I ordered from her a few years ago and after only a month or so the slime got so hard and shrunk to less than half it's original size. I have no idea what went wrong
@@haileyjuneethat sorta just happens to slimes, especially ones with clay in them because they are air dry so even while you are playing with them, they can get hard not that long after. This can happen a lot depending on the container you use. Also it shrinks because of the slime sometimes getting on your hands even in small amounts can still cause a lot to “shrink”, but the slimes also deflate, just like they inflate
hi, am an adult who just recently entered this community and I love your videos!! Have you ever done a video on slime playing tips/ inflating tutorial ? This sounds stupid perhaps but you seem to always able to inflate the slimes up to 3x their original size without any difficulty and I dont always have this experience (sticky hands etc) thanks so much!!
I don’t think she’s done a video yet but I can give you some tips! I’d say just keep stretching it over and over without popping any of the bubbles until it gets super poofy, and if it gets tacky have lotion/activator on your hands or at the ready. But you can also practice being quick with your hands when popping the bubbles so it doesn’t stick to you(if it’s stuck on your palms or fingers just quickly press into the slime and it’ll clean itself. I hope this makes sense, I’m not experienced in extreme inflation like Carmen but you can get it to work just by stretching for a couple minutes!
immunobiochemist mistake proof tip on making better slines: instead of trying to control the concentration and the amount of activator, in order to avoid overaction, use glue to bring the overactivated slime back to its desired consistency. basically, if you're making clear slime, which is notorious for being overactivated, use the clear glue after overactiving: glue + activator → if overactivated use more glue. this is a guaranteed operating protocol (in chemistry we call reagent preparation protocol). this is how I make my slimes. this is a good way to restore old slimes too. if you can figure out the type of glue you can maintain a similar consistency to the original slime when you revitalize it by adding new glue.
@@elisarwong1609 💓 the reason ppl have issues with activator is cz organic chemistry, aka polymerization of the PVA glue in the presence of an acid + base reaction, requires accurate and tight concentrations and requires it to be buffered and pH'd. pH'n is really important because the pH directly affects acid and base reactions and no matter the concentration of the Borax in water, you still have to pH it around 7-7.5.

Nooooooo do not throw the slime out. You can put it in a baggie but most of them come with an extra container if it is a DIY clay kit if not, just use a container. it will deflate!
I have a question... what do you do when the slime is inflated but you want to put it away?? Since it is too big for the container, how do you make sure it doesn't dry up??
My sisters friend uses some of the containers that the add ins come with to store it when the slime won’t deflate, but otherwise I’m not sure about yo other question lol
Slimes really are so much more expensive than when I started in the slime community in 2017. They used to be like $8-10 each 😭
But they were sooo much simpler/ plainer back then and way less professional

I just tried Scented Slime by Amy, and I think she deserves a review from you. Her slimes are super dense & holdable, and her scents are interesting.
I ordered one and it came super stiff , had to add some glycerin to make is better , still have it I order it last year and it’s still perfect

Why? I ordered one of her slimes and it was literally the worst. So dry and shrunk super fast.

sometimes you need to add a little activator (water with some borax powder)
My advice is stretching the slime and make bubble pops

@@linsoraa if overactivated at more of the same glue. If theres more glue that hasnt been activated than ittl essentially “water down” the activator
