Hopefully the next generation follows in Pulisic and McKennie's footsteps. Creating a culture that forces players to play against the best competition in the world in order to get minutes in the national team is extremely important.
It will take awhile but in a few decades I think the MLS will be a very good league. Right now we don't have the coaching to push a strong path for players to achieve upper level success regularly, but it will get there with time. One thing the US has is money to attract solid managers. I'd like to see them poach some good ones from South America when opportunities arise but also lets not forget about our domestic pool. One thing that does worry me about MLS is that it is growing and I hope we don't see it shrink the number of american kids in it.
This is what the US needs to continue to do. Get players in the best leagues in the world. Learn their style of play and being coached by the best coaches, not the "C" level ones that they would otherwise deal with. Hopefully US Soccer starts to be more aggressive about implementing more European coaches and ways of operating.
@@samplingmastersxlr8660 It very simple. The US can't figure it out. They are stuck in a time warp like it is 1995. Nothing changes. Their motto is mediocrity. Forget England or France, they could learn the basics of how to build a world class organization from Croatia or Morocco.
@@bathingapp891 They have been for 40 years. You have to have qualified high level coaching from Europe to do that. All the US coaches only know MLS level skills and training.
@@CG68810Agreed. Send your best players and Coaches to Europe, have them learn from the best, then some will bring that back to the states. Trying to develop it solely in MLS puts the US drastically behind the rest of the world. Similar to what happened with the Chinese basketball league.
The problem with the MLS and American soccer in general is geography and bigotry. But no one will acknowledge either problem so it will never get better to the point of watchable against most of the European Leagues. Once MLS or whatever comes after/adjacent to it learns that, then it will be able to get better.
Bigotry? Can you elaborate? Because I don't see people making monkey sounds and throwing bananas at black players in the states. That is something that unfortunately happens in European leagues with some frequency. Edit: nevermind, you are just a troll.
Hey isn't that Pulisic the big nothing that didn't wake up yesterday during the Derby that won Inter the Seconda Stella? Maybe next season he will be able to score against better than the minnows. I hope that this interview wasn't recorded today? Because he recovered from his spanking pretty quickly.
Here's the truth: Pulisic doesn't have the chops. He went to a top 4 club in Italy and.......... advanced them not at all. They and he were spanked out the CL. They were spanked out of the Europa and they were spanked in their house - JUST LIKE LAST SEASON. His addition did nothing for his team and if Milan had saved the 30 or 40 million they spent on him they would have been just in the same place they are now. That's the truth that no one in the US will want you to know.
@@MAD-b9w No one cares what you have to say pulisic is an amazing player stop coming on videos of him just to bash him for nothing he is succeeding in life and you are talking down on him on the internet he could care less what you have to say about him he is balling at milan.
@@thejcpworld If no one cares, why are you responding? Why don't I get a say on these fluff piece interviews? Why is it so important that this guy, who disappears in big games, only gets praise and criticism against him must not be said - according to you? Also, I'll do what I please, Daisy.

I think they just need to build out their own youth systems.
