THE RECIPE:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate: PPG Multi-Pro in Eggshell (Home Depot).
Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe: mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); and Valspar High Gloss Ultra Base C Untinted base (Lowe's). 50/50. Mix well. NO varnish added!
Use the colors of your choice! These tutorials are meant to educate and inspire! Here's how to mix:
Pigments: For a 3 oz cup I add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of pigment powder to the cup, then add enough gloss varnish (any brand; I use JoSonja gloss varnish) to cover the powder. Mix well until all pigment is thoroughly wet; then add the pouring medium.
Golden, Atelier, and Da Vinci Fluid Acrylics: I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.
For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick I add a squirt of Golden's High Flow Medium (thins and extends acrylic colors) and stir well. All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.
Cell Activator/Color: Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Oxide Black. 3:1 Floetrol to paint.
Buy Australian Floetrol, This Little Piggy pigments, Amsterdam paint, silicon mats, stir sticks, amazing cradled wood panels and so much more!!! fluid-art.co/

MAGnificent as usual!!!! Miss you btw!
Gorgeous!! I love the tip with the tape on the spinner arms and how you make your color puddle kinda square before you blew it out. Great video!! 😊
I've not takwn care of my Erica Hughes spinner. I purchased ut 2 yrs ago. I'm going to need a new one. I now have a TH-cam channel too so I'll take care if the new one using your tips. You're so helpful. Thank you
Love it! The touch ups were necessary and are beautiful!
I love this! I don't really grab pinks but the piece is so gorgeous I might end up trying my hand at this pallet!
Turned out great, Karen! I'm not a pink person, but I do love the outcome of this beauty! ♥♥♥
So beautiful! The black lines make all the pinks POP - love it
This is my painting🤗💕
Gorgeous, as usual… you are the QUEEN of the bloom technique 💗
Your results and touch ups super lovely. The black CA really did a great job of outlining the lacing and cells.
Karen, I love this! This pour is amazing. You really did an a stunning job on this♥♥♥♥
😊💖💖💖
Oh Karen I’m so impressed. Funny story for you. I took a class from Tammy Anderson a few weeks ago. One of the other students thought I was you! I took that as a major compliment. 😂
It’s ABSOLUTELY Stunning…love the effects you achieved!! Never get sick of watching you create your masterpieces!!
Ty for sharing 💗
This is stunning ❤
Super😅
Very pretty! Love the colors! Beautiful cells and lacing! Awesome job as usual!
Hi Karen! You look so pretty in your intro! No wrinkles to be seen, and such a soft pretty hairstyle!
This came out gorgeous with the embellishing you did! Have to say I love pinks, but wow that's a lot of pink! Lol!
You definitely rocked this one! Can't wait to see the pink with the teal added!
I’m not a pink lover at all but this looks so pretty
Wow! I'm not a pink lover at all but this is gorgeous!!
No! I love the middle! It's like the edges of butterfly wings with the black "base" and the white and pink dots over top! So delicate, then it softens and shimmers into fairy wings! 😊 I'm sure your adjustments will be equally beautiful, but that centre is so pretty.
Очень, очень красиво получилось!❤
Kindly explain what you mix your paints in and what kinda white paint you already had on the canvas before adding the colors on to that. Thanks for the good videos.
It’s all listed in the description section. Click on the video title to open.
I love all the pinks. It's beautiful 🎉 Can you please explain to me how you have your spinner set up? And if it's on a table or the floor. Thank you
I have a big table and it sits on that.
Hi Karen, lovely as usual. Hey Will you tell me why you quit using the tri- art as your c/a? Thank you
I’m currently out of it and have 6 tubes of carbon black! 😁😉
Karen, I am the anti-pink tomboy of the earth; hate pinks, reds.
But you NAILED it.
Gorgeous coloring in that guy! Nice one to wake up to with coffee this morning..☕️😌👍
Another stunner!!🥰 Thank you for tip..do you think they tape for hair?😆
🤣🤣😄🤞
What are you using on the arms of your spinner to hold your canvas. Pardon me if you’ve already answered this question
The spinners come with stoppers that attach to the arms.
Intro Karen - what wrinkles?? You are beautiful!
Hi Karen, what is the yellow that is on the arms of your spinner
It’s Scotch exterior painters tape. Paint doesn’t stick to it so it peels off easily. Sooo satisfying!!
Girl!!! Oh no!! You'll not believe what I did. I forgot to remove the braces from the arm. The paint has dried them to the arms.
I had missed the front of your video til now. I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question.
Do you use silver in your blooms? Everyone uses gold but I have yet to see a bloom with silver
Silver is sooo transparent that it gets lost or gobbled up by the other colors. I’ve never had any luck with it.
You put two coats of resin on the canvas before starting... Is that right? ty
the resin is last after the art has dried.
are you using only cool air on the blowout?
Yep
