    Thanks for this quick review, Steve. Just bought a CP12 (30 lbs.) tonight and am so looking forward to it replacing my Roland KC-550 (64 lbs.). My band runs K12.2's as floor monitors and they sound great. I tried one as my main keyboard amp, and it sounded great. But, I wanted a more affordable and lighter option, hence the CP12. Your review helped my decision-making, thanks!

    Got a sick deal on a pair of CP12s on black friday of 2019 for $375 each (25% off) and can say after almost 2 years of ownership they never let me down and very underrated speaker, wish I bought more at the time.

    Peak volume doesn’t meant anything. It’s all about the “RMS”. I bought 4 QSC CP12’s. This video helped my decision and i’m quite impressed. Using them strictly for stage monitors. Was tempted to get the Turbosound tfx122m-an. I like American made equipment and the frequency response was excellent for such a “compact powered” light weight speaker. A satisfied customer that will be using them with my Soundcraft ui24r. Thanks for the vid!

    Wow this is very interesting. I got some K10.2 this June 2021 and one just stopped producing audio during the cocktail hour of a wedding reception. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I had a backup and they'll be repaired under warranty once parts arrive. Anyway, this morning I found your video and I'm really intrigued. Thanks so much for sharing.

    I have two K10.2's paired with two Yamaha DXS15 mkii's. We played an outdoor gig last weekend and man.....it just ruled the school. Those 10's have amazing and smooth mid and top end while the subs easily take the lows. I have two CP10's coming in a few days to use as stage monitors, for mains at smaller venues (minus the subs) and as a general backup to the K10.2's for mains if they go out in a pinch. Very happy with my setup. By the way, the mixer I use is the Midas MR18.

    So, I honestly went into guitar center today to buy 2 (k12.2s) but comparing them side by side to the cp12s they sounded ALMOST identical! Volume was about the same...CP12s sounded more clear but tbh the k12.2s had a little more bass! But it doesnt matter if your using a sub(s) which you should anyways...but ya for the price to size factor...cp12s all day!! Everyday....

  • @NoizTheDj
    @NoizTheDj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The reason why the JBL SRX didn’t impress was most likely do to low power from the wall outlet. JVLs are power hungry and when they get what they need the hit hard. I think it was just user error.

    Interesting take.... I was planning between k10.2 or k12.2, now I'm not so sure. Using mostly for keyboard, vocal, or bass input, but in your opinion is CP12 powerful enough to be the output at a larger outdoor live venue? Although I suppose having a cp12 would allow me more versatility to do smaller club dates as well. Most "reviews" are from guitar center employees who know nothing about music haha, so I really appreciate your opinion as an actual gigging musician thanks man 👍

      Both CP12 & K10 speakers are near the same in size. If you compare k12 vs cp12, the k12 are way larger which puts it in another class for me. K10s are rated at 2000 watts which should be loud. The Cp12 (rated at only 1000 watts) is WAY louder and doesnt limit easily like k10. Overall I would choose CP12 over k10 & k12. Please try out all three and share your feedback.

    Just wanted to point something out if you using. Cp 12. For dj. Some will like them some will not. What I learned is if your running. Serato more than likely you wouldnt like it. The sound comming from it is too flat. I was on the verge of taking them back but something told me to try it with virtual dj. And i did. And it was the samething. Flat not enough highs or lows. Just flat. And it was hard for me especially since i have my EVs for a while . I went online and was about to throw the towel in on them because they sounded like s*** lol. Anyway. I dont know what told me to look up "eq"ing. But i did. And as usually nothing for serato. But vdj. Had a 10 band. I tried that and. Still was hot garbage. Boy oh boy when i got to that 30 band. Thats where i leave it at today. When i adjusted it on the 30 band. My oh my what a difference. Lets just put it this way. There's a reason why qsc marketed it at the price point and didnt add alot of features the .2 series has cuz if they did. They will be competing with themself Now it obvious the
    .2 a better decision. But for price and weight wise u cant go wrong if your using vdj. And that 30 band eq but as for a serato user more than likely you wouldnt enjoy it due yo the fact you cant adjust the eq like in vdj. And last but not least this is not a serato bashing. As i have both software's im just pointing out that these speaker works well with vdj and 30 band eq. Sorry for long post
