Namashkaar , mein Suriname ka rehne wala hoon, humlog Suriname mein ( a mix of Bhojpuri,Awadhi aur Hindi) baat krtein hein. Waise hum Hindi bhi baat karte hein, Maloom nahi kyun ies short movie me Hindoestani log ke picture nahi rakha gaya hai?? Aisa lagta hai ki , Suriname me creool log rehte hai aur woh hindi baat karte hai. Suriname ka official bhasa Dutch hai , karn Suriname The Netherlands ka ek Colony tha. Har saal lagbhak 600 -700 log Hindi exam banate hein.Yahaan kareeb 40 saal se Hindi Parishad ( ek Hindi Organasation ) Suriname mein active hai Hindi Bhasa sikhane mein.Yeh pura Caribbean mein ek bahot organised organisation hai. Masjid mein log bhi urdu sikhate hein.Mein bahot khush hoon ki humlog Hindi baat krsakte hein. India se Hindu aur Muslim log aye the..aur woh log apne apne Dharm nibhaye huwe hai.

I am a malayali in Kerala. And I respect Hindi as my national language. we Indians have lot of diversities. But still we integrated as Indians. Coz of our long survived culture and 'sanatana darma'. We should avoid regionalism for language and culture. We all are Indians we should stand united for our mother land. Hail mother India, Bharat Mata ki Jay.

Here in Nepal, we watch hindi movies, hindi teleflims without translating them into nepali. It might also interest you to know that Bahubali 2(Hindi version) is most successful movie ever in Nepal. Nepal's language and culture is not much different from Indian that's why we share a friendship since centuries..

Sourav Naskar, Hindi is slowly and steadily wiping out your Bengali language. Also other Indian languages. I'm from Goa and my language is Konkani, all migrants settling here except from the Hindi speaking states instead of learning and adopting Konkani are forcing locals to speak their language claiming that Hindi is national language. Similar is the story in other Non-Hindi speaking states. In a multi-lingual country when one language is claimed to be the national or official language and only that language is promoted by the central Govt. as in the case of India, usage of other languages slowly gets reduced and finally eliminated. Already many people in my state don't know Konkani despite being native as they think that English to speak all over the world and Hindi to speak in other states of India is enough.. Which is a depressing thing.. Diversity is dying a slow death..

    • @SummitisSummit

      Joel Fernandes
Diversity started dying the day a man of pluralistic faith signed up for an exclusive Religion 🙂
That started killing "Diversity" 🙂 Everything else just came later....
and you are looking for diversity? 😶

Urdu/Hindi is one language but deliberate use of different words and font make it two languages. This is because of the prejudice by people of two different religions, Islam and Hinduism.
It is so funny to know that even language has not be spared.
I wish humanity prevails and religions are understood correctly.

Urdu, official language of Pakistan, is at least 75% Hindi words & Sanskrit linguistic rules + Arabic & Persian & English mix. It began as an army camp language during the conquest & subjugation & forced conversion of the Indian subcontinent by Muslim raiders. Hindi and Urdu speakers understand each other very well. Its a variety of Hindustani.

My grandparents from Trinidad, they can speak a few Hindi phrases. I lived in Guyana and did not meet anyone who could speak Hindi. I am currently in Suriname and the older generation do speak Hindi, but many younger ones do not. Suriname will loose it's Hindi language in a generation, the country is taking no educational route to preserve this dying language. I would say Fiji is the best here. I have many friends from Fiji and the language is thriving there. It is even spoken by none Indians. In short there will be no Hindi in the western hemisphere. Suriname do something before it's too late.

They worked very hard, also retained indian culture, till 1930s hindi and bhojpuri language was cumpulsurily spoken there ,now of course it's perished ,that is very unfortunate, many radio stations in suriname and west indies still broad cast hindi programs, for more help search you tube, you would get all information and fall in love with our lost indian brothers.

How come Pakistan is left here,. They speak mainly Urdu. Urdu is the mother tongue of Muslims in Uttar Pradesh in India which the Pakistan made as their national language. but there is hardly much difference between Urdu and Hindi

Urdu is the Mother tongue of UP? 😂 UP is Hindu state with CM as Yogi Adityanath and majority of the people speaks Hindi only a little amount of muslim people speak Urdu and they also know Hindi....
      .
Hindi originated from Sanskrit and even before Urdu...
      .
Urdu is nothing more than a language which is originated from Hindi and Sanskrit words and some words which were originated by Muslims named it as Urdu.... !!!

Akash Deepak No. Many Hindu speak Urdu. they cant read and write but in day to day language Most Hindus of Uttar Pradesh and other North Indian states also speak a mixture of Hindu and Urdu. like for pomegranet... Hindi word is दाढ़िमफल but most people call it anar अनार which is Urdu word...

Most of the words are Hindi... They don't speak Urdu... Only Few words they use even in Urdu, majority of the words are of Hindi

Akash Deepak I said mother tongue of Muslims in UP dude 😀 but whether Hindi or Urdu together which is Hindustani is spoken by most Indians and Pakistanis. like how Mayank told it has become a mixture what people speak. But my point is Urdu is originated from India from Hindi and Sanskrit if I am not wrong. My point is that they made it their national language but it was originated in India that's what I wanted to say here directly or indirectly that they say that they have Arab ancestry but use every stuff from their motherland which includes Punjabi, Sindhi, Gujarati as well I guess and the Indian tradition.

45% of india's population knows hindi.....completely wrong......42% people have hindi as their mother tongue(check in 2011 census results) and apart from these most others can speak or understand hindi but it definitely is more than 45%
