This is the real Bulgarian music. Not everybody can sing it. It is very, very hard. To sing traditional folklore should be really talanted. We are so proud of our folklore and traditional music. This kept our nation in the years :) Chalga is popular but its not Bulgarian style. Its a typical Balkan style.
This style is called folklore music and is studied only in Bulgaria, and very few people can sing it well. Galena at the beginning of her career started with this style of music!
The Folklore, is not studied only in Bulgaria, every country have their own Folklore, Bulgarian Folklore, Romanian Folclor, Russian Folklore, ....but yes, her voice makes her to sing like a goddess!

Russia, Muscovy , Novgorod , Kazan , Kievian Rus - adopted the Bulgarian alphabet, first patriarch of All Rus was Bulgarian Kiprian ,still use Old Bulgarian in Church , last Tzar of Rus Nicholas the second kept that he is Tzar of Bulgaria and all Rus as per Historical, cultural and historic influences. What's the point ? Yeah she sings for all of us :) 250-300 million people today write in Bulgarian a.k.a cyrillic :) Поздрави!
I am from Bulgaria live more than 32 years in North America. Every culture is a a whole universe.. i love different cultures, but Bulgarian folk music empowers me so much & makes me cry at the same time. My grandmother made me sing every day when I was a child (an old tradition) it was the things you do at home. It develops the child's voice & we know the resonance of own voice has very healing & invigorating properties.
Das ist bulgarische traditionelle Folkmusik - richtig berührend und emotional! Petya Paneva hat sie bestens präsentiert. Man muss sehr viel Talent haben, um diese Lieder singen zu können! Respekt und weiterhin sehr viel Erfolg für die junge Dame!
Не само талант, а и солидно музикално образование се изисква, каквото Петя притежава- Муз.училище с ударни инструменти и Муз.академия с фолклорно пеене@@
I think Lidia was a little better. The fact that she can sing in english and is from Bulgaria. She can also actually sing folklore she said it in an interview that she was on, but ofc Petya was good too

Those are folk songs, mostly sang in choirs or those are the most famous way for foreigners. It is very unique.
