All three of our midfielders play as box to box midfielders. All three of Macca, Grab and Zsobo play box to box and can be seen on their heat maps. This is clearly an instruction from Slot in order for us to control the midfield. Zsobo has scored and has assists this season. People just trying to scapegoat Zsobo.

That mean in defense he is spot the missing space between players, and close it, running all the way. Or is some teammate left his position, he go to that position, keep to formation. ,In attack he is stay a middle position to keep the defenders in middle, so the wingers has more space.

The conclusion is, Slot wants his defence to keep clean sheets, the midfield to control and our attack to score the goals which is exactly what is happening.
It's misleading look at him just as a 10. He's the runner\line breaker, 10, rotating within the midfield positional to create space. He also doesn't have a striker to feed and Slot has tweaked his system to enable the wide guys as inside forwards.
Zsobozslai is not playing the same role as he did last season. I don't think Slot is going to chuck him on the dump. He has been given the role to support our attack and has to track back. Think we need to give him more than just a handful of games he has had under Slot.
Szoboszlai is the top 3 lfc players for most chance creation this season and he already has 3 G/A contributions than ryan and macca who both has zero goals contributions.. despite szoboszlai doing all the hard work such as pressing for whole game and doing relentless defending, still that man always comes up for massive criticism.. its a shame supporters of lfc didn't appreciate his work and talent.. macca has also been poor this season but why he hasn't been under criticism??

Which is a contributing factor to why in 6 games we have only conceded 2 goals. One of which was a fabulous strike by Hudson odoi and 1 was a calamity by Konate. No on is calling out Grav or Macallister because there is nothing to call out.

Ehhh not sure that’s a good comparison. Hendo was always a vocal leader - it was maybe his best quality as a player. When he wasn’t playing you could see a drop in the whole team because that connector wasn’t there. Hendo was never the most gifted footballer but he was a good leader.
Going by his performances so far this season I think Curtis deserves a start over him. Curtis offered more in the 20 minutes that he was on than Dom did in 70 last time out. Even if you take goals and assists out of the equation, Dom has just been poor in general. His passing - despite the stats - has been sloppy as hell at times, with the breakaway against Wolves and what was a simple pass being misplaced to Salah being a good example. Against better teams that sort of missed opportunity and his propensity to give possession away in our final third is going to cost us. He's still very young, but I struggle to see what he's very good at right now. I'm not sure if Slot is seeing if Dom can play his way into form, but he doubt that he's overly happy with him in general.

I am honestly curious of your oppinion because I think Szobo’s advantage on anybody else that he is the reason why the opponent can not outnumber Liverpool in defence and can outnumber them in offense. No one else can make this for the team. And in my oppinion today’s football main goal is to have more player ina certain area of the filed as the opponent because these players can otuplay each other easily if they have an additional partner for it. Yes, Elliot is attacking more but I am absolutely sure if Elliot or Jones will play we will concede much more goals just as the second half of the last season. This is why Liverpool need a hard worker footballer and not just the stars. For me so far, Szobo has been underwhelming. Not saying he is not good, but he is average so far. I rather starts the inconsistent Curtis Jones from the beginning as he produce some decent performances lately. What Slot has done to Ryan G should be done to Szobo as well by assign him to different role or shifting to other position on the pitch. Like the one he was assigned in the Bundesliga and Hungary national football team. Simply a risk worth taking for a player of his caliber in my opinion.

I think dommy Shlobs is actually a bit misunderstood in the role he's playing. He's there to be a runner. He has a lot of talent, of course, but he's essentially the engine, the athlete, and the guy that pulls around the defensive midfielders in order for Gravenberch and Macca to work their magic on the ball. He isn't as good as either of them on the ball, and that's why he's there, to pull the opposition around and open up the middle for the other two to use their superior dribbling/passing/game IQ etc. Essentially, he's the guy that roams, pulls players out of position, and lets the team take advantage. The athleticism and hunger is why he's in the team. Nobody else has that. For example, swap him and macca, then you'd see Macca does nowhere near the amount of roaming and sprinting, the oppo midfield wouldn't be pulled out of position, and Szobo behind him wouldn't have the technical skills to open defences. I'll be honest, I thought Elliott actually deserved to start the season over Szobo. He's a lot smarter at breaking through tight defences. Dom, athlete. Harvey, technical footballer. We could have used his intelligence and slick passing between the lines recently, especially against Forest.

He needs to improve his decision making - he is the key at the top to ensure the hard work of Macca and Grav is not wasted He needs to improve 3 key things: - His final Touch and weight of his final passes - His Decision making (When to shoot, where to shoot or place, when to run or make a pass) As Arne Said, he expects him to have better numbers. But for me the last and third thing he really needs to get out of his game - Those lazy little touches,which do not have any weight, also those careless flicks where he constantly lose the ball. If he can improve those points, I think he will explode under Arne Slot. He has the guile, technical abilities, shooting power, the engine to play as that No.10 box to box. He will get there tho hopefully. And when Harvey Eliotte gets back, that's when he will be in danger.

I absolutely agree. Last season he was similar. During the Euro's too. This season he's had a few moments, but overall his head is rarely on the game.
I think he just needs time and Slot is the coach who can take him to the next level.

i look to guess the lfc score by thinking we are guaranteed 7/9 nailed on chances with arnes team, so i guess how many we will miss rather than score. wolves is tricky because the ground is old skool so you really fee;l the acoustics of the crowd and that can be off putting. i wanna go 9 nil against palace but i will stick to my 2 nil.

He’s fast. One of the fastest in the prem.

@Kinema-Eternaprod that seemed to work really well. I think jones would be good in that role. Or swap jones and Macca around and have Macca attack.
Jones did more in 20 minutes in the CAM role than Dom did in 70 against Wolves.
I think dommy Shlobs is actually a bit misunderstood in the role he's playing. He's there to be a runner. He has a lot of talent, of course, but he's essentially the engine, the athlete, and the guy that pulls around the defensive midfielders in order for Gravenberch and Macca to work their magic on the ball. He isn't as good as either of them on the ball, and that's why he's there, to pull the opposition around and open up the middle for the other two to use their superior dribbling/passing/game IQ etc.
Essentially, he's the guy that roams, pulls players out of position, and lets the team take advantage. The athleticism and hunger is why he's in the team. Nobody else has that.
For example, swap him and macca, then you'd see Macca does nowhere near the amount of roaming and sprinting, the oppo midfield wouldn't be pulled out of position, and Szobo behind him wouldn't have the technical skills to open defences.
I'll be honest, I thought Elliott actually deserved to start the season over Szobo. He's a lot smarter at breaking through tight defences. Dom, athlete. Harvey, technical footballer. We could have used his intelligence and slick passing between the lines recently, especially against Forest.
Fair assessment but it’s not just the numbers that tell the story. Dom’s been poor in the final 3rd. It’s clear to see. He’s not making the right passes. He Can get there tho

Dom is lucky Harvey Eliotte is injured. He needs to improve his decision making - he is the key at the top to ensure the hard work of Macca and Grav is not wasted
He needs to improve 3 key things:
- His final Touch and weight of his final passes
- His Decision making (When to shoot, where to shoot or place, when to run or make a pass)
As Arne Said, he expects him to have better numbers.
But for me the last and third thing he really needs to get out of his game - Those lazy little touches,which do not have any weight, also those careless flicks where he constantly lose the ball.
If he can improve those points, I think he will explode under Arne Slot. He has the guile, technical abilities, shooting power, the engine to play as that No.10 box to box.
He will get there tho hopefully. And when Harvey Eliotte gets back, that's when he will be in danger.

He was fantastic in the second half in Milan 2 weeks ago. That was another level. And got an AC Milan shirt at the end of the match.😉
Elliot is a great youngster, who has been improved a lot for a year and was ready to start. Unfortunately he got injured.
