My friend ... Committed ... A day before I was listening to this song. Super bittersweet... I listen to this song to embrace his emotions and agony. Rip Rub... You'll be missed...
This still reminds me of my elementary school sweet heart (grade 7 - both of us were 11ish I was a month older) and wife of 4 years 2010-2014 (together over 14 years at that time). She was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma(fancy word for her advanced breast cancer) 2 years prior to my graduation and there was no cure for her strain at that point - just a chemotherapy treatment to extend her life. I graduated in March 2014 and wanted to spend every second with her and we did. Until she died April 8th 2014... The last day we spent together (we didn't even know it yet, she seemed relatively fine in palliative care - but I could've been in shock/it was surreal). We listened to DBA. And I just imagined how I could've done things differently to spend more time with her.
"I wasn't always there - It doesn't mean I don't care...We're minutes away from saying goodbye for all of time". I wish I could've put my degree on hold, despite how many times you begged me to finish first, but I'm still glad I was able to spend all the time we had

This is a good song to listen to when you are not in a good mood
See, many of DBA's songs mean a lot to me for various different reasons but this one in particular hits a certain part of me every time because to me; it can be interpreted in 2 ways. Either you are literally at a breaking point and are giving up the fight to go on OR you are at a certain breaking point where you have had enough of everything that is beating you down and you give up on trying to let it hurt you and in turn you make that final decision to push back and do something to cease it and make yourself break out from the trance of the nightmare you were stuck in. "I'm at my breaking point, Cannot take it another day... You can't save me!" is the part where you have to realize that you are stronger than that thing that is holding you back and you don't need someone to save you because they can't; the only one that can is you and your will and your fight for you justice and your life back.
This song reminds me of one of my best friends that is in a very bad situation now, that cannot see the crack in the dark that stands out that is the one thing that can help her because of her denial holding her back. It also reminds me of every time I get to a certain limit where I feel like letting everything go but something hidden inside me stops me.

The idea behind this song is to make a statement rather than to send a message; That whenever we as human individuals come to a breaking point in our lives, for whatever reason, and everything feels literally hopeless and there's no way out - that it is totally OK to feel that way. It must be OK to feel small and weak at times. That's part of being human. When you truly accept that, from there, you can only grow stronger than you were before.

I don't usually like to talk about my mental stuff with depression and bi-polar disorder, but the lyrics starting at 2:04, some days it's definilty like that. The melody and piano in the song though really makes you want to push through and come out on top. Bless you all 🙏
