You’re killing it on multiple fronts. The band, the software, the channel. Any one of those by themselves is a heavy workload. I don’t know how you do it.
Great update and killing it on all fronts. I would say that you would/ would have been better getting planning on just replacing the whole thing. Yes I know there might be limitations that I don’t know about. However, even with the slight cost increase you won’t be fiddling about with the small amounts of existing that you are actually keeping and you could have increased it slightly if needed. Will be interested to see how it goes! Ps I’m a UK architect.
Big respect for the amount of work you do, man. Remember when bands/artists made a living from music without having to do all the extra stuff? Love it.
Much respect for all this! Touring in itself is hard on oneself, I know that feeling. Caring for a YT channel a business and a family on top are all full time jobs as well! Heavily inspiring how you do it. Btw: Ultimate Heavy Drums on every demo, sounds wonderful!
Bruh... you are literally making content about everyday life, and I am loving it! If you knew what bullshit, I was dealing with on my home you wouldn't feel alone brother!
Thanks for the update! You were amazing on tour with Sylosis & it's inspiring how you juggle your projects as well as life as a family man and musician🖤
Big mad kudos to you Mr.! I've been following your work for a little while, and it is amazing how you stand to everything you do, I even witnessed a show in which the guitar equipment did not work and you stood up and did an amazing vocal performance! You're a professional all around!
Killing it man, you doing great on every front so don’t stress about juggling all of it at you’re own pace dude, it’s still gets done and that’s all that matters 🤘🏻 can’t wait for the update🔥
Love these kinds of videos. Like stated below, it's amazing how many things you do and damn you do them well. I'm working on learning the Monolith, and it's a challenge to say the least. You have made me become a better player by tenfold. Hoping to try producing my own album one day!
I respect the grind Josh. I'm a huge you fan, a huge Sylosis fan and even someone not into mixing/engineering/music production in general I still watch your videos on here and MDL mostly to watch you rip on guitar but just support what you're doing. It was a long list of stuff you're doing to support yourself and your family so I'm loathe to suggest anything else to add to the list but your art is INSANE - not only the album covers but what you were drawing on those drumskins on a recent tour was so sick. I'd buy your art in either digital/print or merch. Something to consider if it's something you enjoy doing. Only suggesting as a fan but as someone who won't buy UHD because I just simply won't use it. I buy Sylosis merch whenever I can but I know that's the bands money and not yours. Keep up the awesome work dude you inspire many 🤘
I saw a good video by Owen Davies, a metal hardcore engineer and producer in the West Midlands, in an interview with Working Class Audio channel on TH-cam. And he used and highly recommended John Bishop, who was Wise Owl acoustics but he said now works for GIK. But does still consult on projects in the UK. Maybe get in conversation with Owen, he could give you tips? He actually did the work himself over two years without prior building experience, which is impressive. Also, get on the John Seyer Forum, it's a treasure chest of knowledge. One point, if you go with hat channel, with two sheets of drywall on the outer layer, maybe mass loaded vinyl or green glue in between, rather than double wall with a gap, you will save maybe 6-8 inches of space on that wall in between the two spaces. Which could help. It won't be _quite_ as efficient in blocking noise, but it's often good enough. And it's cheaper and easier to do. But best to hire a designer. They might also help you find a good contractor. But also you can check in with them as you go, which is invaluable.
Too bad you couldn't get Peter Lindgren to help build your studio. Every build project he tackles, he does to the nines. Good luck with the your build!
Can you not look at doing a room-within-a-room type setup? Then leave a walkway to the boiler so you don’t have to redo the plumbing? It’s what I did in my cellar, the gas meter is down there so I left a small walkway for access
my god, that hedge was fuckin massive. On soundproofing, check out the video Linus Tech Tips did on soundproofing their server room. It does a pretty good job of explaining how to do it and what to buy while keeping the information digestible. You could even go a step further and Faraday cage it with shielding paint if you have a bunch of EMI.
With the story of the tree cut down and everything, I think "Deadwood Studios" would be a fitting name ;-)

Was thinking the same thing
The songs of birds are relaxing.
Get er done. You'll crush it 🤘

It'll be done, might be a bit but it'll be done. Keep killing it Josh, much love and respect from Canada
You've got a lot of awesome stuff in the works! Keep it up!
Nice spot, mate!

You gotta sample those birds and put them at the end of a song or something

You are doing tons of great stuff, keep it up, best of luck with the studio!
Much respect real life shit!! Keep up the hard work! I would love to help you build your studio but I live in the states so no go for me bummer. 🤘💀🤘
You're a inspiration bro. I'll be subbing to your patreon, hope to see you guys live next time you tour the states.
You’re the man Josh!

Dude, you are awesome! Good luck with the studio!
There is a lot of potential in that house!
FYI Id check out Grossman iso cabs. I’ve heard great things about the sound and convenience.
Keep it going 🤘

Awesome Josh! Looking forward to seeing Sylosis in Brisbane 💀🤘🏻🇦🇺
Dude, don't get burned out! Take it easy and mind yourself.
I'd love to tackle all of this

What city do you live in? Such a beautiful nature
Unreal!! looks an awesome space!! Think you will ever create IR responses and profiles for other amp moddelers such as headrush or neural dsp ?
He already has an impulse responses you can purchase which will work with any modeller/capture amp software,
JTM impulse response pack 1
@@teddystevens6624 These are great IRs but for amp models/captures, I believe that they will only work on the kemper

Walls work for support, but support beams will do the same and not use up as much space and money.
If only Sylosis played Black Metal - this whole situation would be way more simple and you could record everything from your bedroom. 😂
good to see that the burocracy in the uk is slow like portugal ... feel your pain
