kurikokaleidoscope It is a great camera. When it comes to connectivity, for example connecting an external microphone, the camera is more located in the consumer realm. It has for example no XLR input which is a requirement to attach a professional microphone to a camcorder. Everything else in this camera is in the professional realm. The lens, the video chip, the manual recording modes, and more. I highly recommend this camera.
Thank for watching my video and your comment. I am always open for suggestions. You are right I should have incorporated this information in my video. At the time I made this video I did not think that it is important. I just wanted to use the built in microphones in the camera. I actually once thought that the internal microphones are great. Today I have reconsidered. Today I am using a wireless external microphone and an audio recorder to record audio on a different device. Have a great day. Greetings from Los Angeles. 😀
Bonecrusher27WTF I have used the Canon VIXIA HF M50 Full HD to shoot this video. For its size an excellent camera, has a great video chip. Better than anything else in its class.
maptrking The filter is a B+W 58mm Digital-Pro UV Haze MRC 010M Filter for general use, clear filter designed to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. It is also protecting the lens from dirt and scratches. I bought this filter separately.
Our Channel Hello. No they are not the same. The Legria is the model destined for the old PAL territories (Australia, Germany, Western Europe, etc.) while the Vixia is the model destined for the old NTSC territories (USA, Japan, etc.). The Legria shoots at 50Hz (25 frames per second), the Vixia at 60Hz (30 frames per second, approximately).Other than that they are basically the same.
Our Channel I do not know that or a fact, but because these two video cameras differ essentially only in the technical requirements for their target market (PAL/NTSC) I assume that the Legria can shoot in slow motion too.
thanks for the video - I just got mine as well and I am impressed compared to a tiny little plastic camcorder that´s a brick - but a good looking and feeling brick. The stabilization is gorgeous - and with the extra motorized stabilisation (which I first didn´t knew exist) I can shoot a totally still image in full 20x optical zoom, right of my hands without any tripod. really a great cam!
Excellent video, thank you.
Good review. Simple. You explain the things the average user wants to know. None of the nonsense we don't need. thanks.
hypnosiscenter nyc Thank you for your comment.
wow! i want to get one of those! got a canon 8mm movieboy in 1997 and it still works!!

Nice review Michael. Can you attach the lens hood to the UV filter? Also, what do you have the custom function buttons set to?
very clear and helpful. does the camera come with detailed PRINTED instruction book? thank you.
Great review! Thank you. Hope you're enjoying your camera.
Rick O You are welcome. I enjoy my camera very very much. Thank you for watching my video.

Thank you sir...your video is very clear, precise and concise, no fluff...thank you.......
Pre-recording is an EXCELLENT feature. The old Sony Cybershot cameras had it. Not sure why everyone would not have it.
Bonecrusher27WTF You are right. It is a great feature.
Good day, what camera did you use to shoot this video? Thanks.

You did well. Much clarity.

Camcorders dont have recording limits
Soooooo... What is the silver filter on your camera????? The macro filter???? Did that come with the camera when you purchased it???? Thanks....

Gotcha!!!! That totally makes sense.... THANK you so much.
is the view finder thru the lens or electronic?
bkfilipi Hello. It is not TTL (through the lens). It is an electronic viewfinder. But it is a very good one. Have a good day.
What a camera!
Stringer Bell It is a fantastic camera. Thank you for watching.
