I work for CN. I’m considering relocating to Smithers in the near future. They have a shortage for conductors in Smithers at the moment. Good time to hire on 🤙🏼
Depending on your skill set , it shouldn't be too difficult to find a job. Just depends on what you're after.. sometimes you just need to grab a job to get your foot in the door to meet people to get the next 'best' opportunity.

Depends what you do for work. If its a skilled trade or professional then sure, its a small town and opportunities are fewer, but they do come up. On the other hand, if its general work then there’s always something for hardworking reliable people. if you want work its around.
