I'm putting this loom together for my mom right now! It's going very well even though the most I've ever done with tools before was assemble some Ikea bookcases. 😂 I was doing fine just following the manual until I got to putting the bushings on the axel with the treadles, at which point I was very glad to have you show me what order everything went in. So far putting this together has been a delight...every board and drilled hole has been so perfect and fit together so smoothly. I'm so impressed! Thank you for the thoughtful video, it's helped a lot!
Thanks for the video. It is very helpful! It is a wonderful loom. I have a question. The pawl we installed first, for the transport of Front beam does not stay in plce. So i need two hands to move the front beam an tighten the warp. even if the pawl is fixer or looser. What can I do?
Wow! Nice new features. I got my Spring in 1992 and it was all in pieces, nothing assembled, not even the shaft bars with their cords and wheels. Took 3 days to build the loom. I still love it! I have the second warp beam and second back beam. How does that work on the Spring II? I didn't see the extra holes on the back beam supports for the warp beam and the second back beam. One thing I did like was the bars keeping the texsolv cords from jumping off the wheels-that is the only thing that is annoying on the old Spring. Even with adjustments the cords still jump off rollers occasionally. And, I like the new way to attach the treadles to the foot rest. I have wood blocks that loosen up every once in a while. This loom is such a great loom. I have recommended it to several people.
I got mine now. There isnt the space at the front to fit a light. Nor is there a ratchet and pawl for the back beam which makes winding warp on way weird
Hi Liz, An LED light strip can be attached to the bottom of the front face (top of the castle) or even inside the front or back top of the castle. Generally these strips are 10-12mm and the wood is 13mm thick. The lack of a back beam ratchet and pall is the same as all of our larger looms - Octado, Delta, Megado - when winding on your warp, you lift the brake handle to release the brake with one hand and wind the warpbeam handle with your other hand.
Awesome, thanks so much, between the video and the instructions assembly was straight-forward. Just in case this helps anybody else get this step right the first time: One snag I did have was assembling the treadles. Getting all those eyebolts screwed in to a uniform depth turned out, for me, to be tricky (even though I did my best with the "33" block). When I was trying to slide the rod and bushings through, the rod got really stuck. I took it all apart and rechecked the eye-bolts with a bushing in each eye and made half-turns until the rod pushed through them all easily then re-assembled with the treadles. One had gone in a little crooked, husband took it down to the vise to manipulate a bit because we didn't want to mess with the screw hole that was already made into the wood. Other than that avoidable snafu, easy peasy! Thanks again.
Great video! So hel-ful and I really enjoyed building the loom. Louet made it so easy.

Very glad to hear. Thanks and I hope your mom enjoyed the loom.
Nice video. It’s great to see this can be done by one person. Good design.
I was wondering what a parallel countermarche was. Now I see how it works. Pretty nifty.
Couldn’t have done it with the manual alone. Thanks Dave!
What a beautiful Loom, my dream 1. made in the Netherland 2. one of the best floor Loom once can get thanks for the presentation.
Amazing video! So clear and easy to understand all the steps! Thank you so much!!!

I see an extra set of holes nearer the loom on that angled beam which i would assume are for a second warp beam
Yes that is correct - wholes are for a second warpbeam
Thank you very much. This Video was very helpful for me.
Wow I would love to can have one 😍
Is it me or is there no real shelf on the castle any more?
Hi Liz, There is definitely still a shelf on the Spring II - in fact a larger shelf than previously.
Thanks guys it looked more flat so didnt look as shelf like. Glad to hear (mine should be here monday)
