Aw, I adored this song as a 6 year old in 1973. This routine's choreography is genius - a tap dancing vampire...& Cherry makes such a cute bat!!! Brilliant!
Even though some of their routines were comedic, it was lovely to see things like dancing en pointe from time to time. They didn't just bop around, they were trained dancers. Love dee dee as the mummy here.😂
Nice clear video, from all those years ago. The ladies look lovely even though they're supposed to be scary! Dee Dee Wilde looks great, even though she's a mummy!
The girls were such good sports. They'd do about anything and make it fun and wear big smiles. Cherry was a hot little bat- Louise in the Top hat and Tails was smokin!
I know a lot of people laugh at 70s fashion but I loved it then still do, feminine dresses, the heels, no big fat trainers or chunky masculine shoes, no tattoos and lovely hair styles take me back please
I couldn't understand why the bat was so much shorter than rhe others and then the solution arrived. The little bat wasn't wearing high heels. She wouldn't have been able to do her ballet dancing with heels. I am so very happy to have come to this realization.
I remember this when it was first broadcast. Sadly, pop videos made Pan's People and subsequently Legs and Co redundant. Top of the Pops was a very good programme but sadly there's no chance it will come back. It's too much associated with Jimmy Savile.
If this doesn't put a smile on your face then something is wrong with you. I would like hearing a conversation with the dancers about taking off the make-up.
The BBC banned it in 1962 for being Too Morbid?! Truth was, they didn't want to offend , the son of a diplomat. They didn't bother asking Boris,s opinion first who according to his daughter loved his song.
Stephen Clarke from Loughborough got Garry WHiTiNG from Leicester as gay partner with Steve strange music and guns n roses and bon Jovi and proper type stuff together forever properly and I like Stephen Clarke music taste together properly

Классный номер, очень оригинально и весело!) А летучая мышка - самая горячая)
Brilliant as always. Female, feminine girls with humour and smiles. 👏
Well done, that doesn't sound at all creepy.

I'm an old man too, but a young Cherry Gillespie will still get a "rise" out of me every time.
Cherry's not deceased.
Cherry doing ballet @ 0:58 WOW
It's batlet.
@@teemusid That's clever. Lol
She was a wonderful brown bat. I wonder how often she visits YT.

My best Halloween nightmare would involve Louise and Babs
Mine would be Dee and Dee

2023> To a song 50 years young, happy Halloween 2023.
This song was recorded in 1962.......
@@leroywood8410 That's super.
Like in the mid 80s & early 90s old songs wete hits again in the 70s
WOW
Broadcast the very day after I was born.
Some pans people routines were really wacky!
Growing up in the 1970’s I didn’t appreciate how good my world was. Lovely stuff. It’s far too serious & PC today.
I couldn't understand why the bat was so much shorter than rhe others and then the solution arrived.

Tiene un documental en netflix sobre jimmy savile
It has nothing to do with Jimmy Savile. They tried to bring TOTP back many times before those revelations came to light, and it failed every time.
Me too ,same age
wtf did I just watch? O.O

There was no drug use that night
Bonzer.
EVEN IN COSTUMES THE GIRLS STILL LOOK HOT!!!.
I'll take Pans People doing cosplay like this anyday, superb upload 👌
Guy’s hair styles look funny now, but T’s and A’s are always fashionable.
Name of beauty in top hat and tails ???
Louise
😊👍
Louise Goddess Clarke
Louise Clark RIP sweetheart as with your fellow dancers...
Anybody realise that the song is from 1962 ? But i LOVE P P so I watched. :)
The song re entered the charts, I remember it.

Whatever happened to my Transylvanian twist??
It was there I heard it
😊
bbc budget custumes very good
Ditto with the comment below (although they were just a kid of 6, while I was veteran of 7).
this is different
Igor, you impetuous young boy.
Noel Edmonds is a strange man…

Which is which, or who is who?
Louise The Dracula Bride, Dee Dee Wilde The Lady Mummy, Barb Lord The green beauty, Cherry the batwoman, Ruth Pearson King Konga
This song is offensive to people from Transylvania. He does the "accent".
Terrible dancers lol
God that is horrible. A terrible video.
@TheMaidofMiddleEarth Go __________ yerrsef :)
🤦 what a cringey choreography.
The choreography is trash.
Show us how to do it champ.
