    To grow algae quickly I use bacter ae similar to how you use your bacteria powder on the soil. Algae in general loves phosphorus, ammonia and nitrates the most, lots of phosphorus can get you staghorn or black beard algae and I've found that staghorn especially likes to grow on the cactus tree (dried cholla cactus)

    Excuse the English because I use google translater.
    But by the time I believe you have already solved the mystery.
    But in my shrimp cultivation, I only use the sun and algae blooms, if you don't have it easy, we have lamps to simulate the sun and algae blooms will bloom.
    The ammonia and the nitrite chain, in addition to the residues of the feed and feces, are sufficient nutrients to suck up the algae.
    If I need a lot of algae, then I would have to build a separate system and have the source of carbon, potassium and other smaller scale minerals. But normally any fertilizer for aquatic plants already has all of this , then you could even do multi trophism , with spirulina and or chorreollela

    More plants you have in a tank and the less algae it will grow, because all the nutrients are taken by the plants and the algae can't thrive. Some people overdose a little the planted tanks with nutrients and fertilizers so that the algae can grow, because there is enough for both

    quite an interesting and informative video. I was having pho with a friend about 9 years ago across the country and he mentioned, the best and healthiest breeding shrimp tanks are the most ugly ones full of algae. Such a hard balance fo rme to have a visually pleasing tank vs what's best for the shrimp. great content and can't wait for the next video!

    Well I have the response for that. It is well known on hi-tech aquascaping , for them (and my old me) it is a problem, for us is a friend!
    The algae can be produced, and has much importance ( or all) the light intensity and duration. That is why recomend to dont put aquariums next to windows.
    So probably you have diferent lights on that aquariums, or something darkening more or less (like float plants). and you can increase your algae.
    Just need 30-50 lumens/liter, and a 5k-6,5Kelvin temperature, and if you want, increase time light.
    The problem is caridines dont like too much light (it is said) .... so I recomend use UV of the sun moving next to window and natural light. In fact, I would say it is obvious your algae are for the window, because the side without algae is the one protected for the natural light!
    Lights are cheap, for example look for GU10 LED

    • @srl2485
      @srl2485 ปีที่แล้ว

      also something that fights against alagae is oxigenation, but we can not win that battle , caridinas need lots of oxigen in water

    Hi, I very like your aquariums👍 I've made the experience that with a daily addition of Bacter AE, a good fast water flow and a lighting duration of at least 10 hours (provided there is no nitrate in the water) it turns increasingly green.
    The use of boxes with soils is also standard for me. A good method would also be that of Vin Fish with a soil thickness of at least 15 cm on the ground, no soil boxes. However, the annual soil change is a problem with the Vin Fish method.

    Get a couple guppies to eat the mosquito larva. They will make short work of them. But, take them out before adding shrimp. I found if I leave the lights on 24/7 for a few weeks will create algae in the tanks during start up. I don’t know if I told you. My kid moved out. I a going to set up his room as a shrimp room with the auto top off features you did in the video. Also thinking a centralized air system as long as I have a blank room to build out. Great update, thank you.
