Glad to see another crossbow hunt and im a huge fan of barnett, best bang for your buck. Its no super fancy ravin, mission, or ten point but its everything you need and the barnett hyper raptor we sell at work is only 650 bucks and its screamin bolts at crazy speeds. My only gripe is the hyper raptor takes a really narrow bolt like the width of a compound arrow which makes it bolt specific and not just a common 20 inch bolt you can find on every shelf in any outdoor sports store. People hate on crossbows but they just work, i never understood the hate behind crossbow hunting like a compound bow hunter is in some way superior.

@braydon price I’ve actually been looking hard at the buk ops crossbow scope. I like it because you’re not dependent on the built in range finder to give you a point of aim. Is there any way to attach an external pressure switch to the range finding feature in the buk ops crossbow scope?

When you come back to Louisiana, you got to hunt in Winfield I got a camp there and there’s some big bucks mom killed 3 8 points and only when to the stand 3 times

I did that same shot this year with a compound 65 pound mega meat G5 with 5mm 300spine arrow 447 grains altogether so it’s moving and did not recover it he was near 140 inch’s possibly a little over that but looked for two days with no luck. I’ll never take that shot again.
