- In this episode 8 I put the engine back into the bike. I start to build up the bike by adding in the swingarm, rear shocks and wiring harness. I also add the exhaust and begin to get the bike into a good shape. loads more to do still in the videos to come 😎
I get most my CB 500 service parts from here:
www.sfpartsltd...
CB 500 race parts as seen in my videos can be purchased from the following racers who custom make parts for the bike:
/ seventyninewizard
/ jlr-performance-110268...

Really enjoying this playlist. I started watching last night and im up to this episode now. Really well put together, great editing and informative. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience 👊
@nathanwalton5020 Hi, cheers for the comment. Glad you found them helpful 👍 I'm currently doing a tuned engine build series. It's in my videos on my channel 😀
Enjoying the video and channel.
I built my first bike a couple of years ago, I put the wheels on, then paddock stands so I could work on it, engine etc so it didn't keep rocking about. Looking forward to watching more of your content.
Cheers. 🍻🏆
Cheers mate appreciate the nice comment. Yeah it's quite a learning curve isn't it for the first time. I learned so much doing it. Made a few mistakes, but at least now when I work on the bike, I know how to do most things. I'm doing a full engine rebuild series this winter, so stay tuned for that 😂 it's going to be modified engine with BCR Performance and P3 Tuning 👌
cracking video pal best of luck for the rest of the season hopefully see you out on track at some point
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍
Nice build mate. 👍
Thank you 👍😊
@@SuggyRacing sorry I should of given you more credit than nice build. .... I have just done the 3 peaks in Yorkshire.. Ingleborough +2. But what you have done with that bike is on a another level... 👍👍👍👌👌👌🎇🎇

Thank you 👍
Hi Dude
Love the video
Who rebuilt those carbs for you?
I have a set that need a rebuild
Cheers
Hi, cheers mate appreciate the nice words. 👍 It was Ben who owns BCR Performance that did them for me. He vapour blasted them and ultrasonic cleaned them, before rebuilding them. He's on Instagram if you search BCR performance. There's also a few other lads who race, that can rebuild them too.
Thank you for that!
Building a spares package for my cb500 for the NLR season!
Where are you racing your CB this year?
Cheers
@@benjaminround5576 Are you on the CB racing Facebook page? If so there's a few on there who can supply parts and help with builds.
I'm also planning to race with NL this year, but, my concern is actually getting on the grid. There will be loads (like me) coming from Thundersport and I'd imagine it will be a totally packed grid if everyone comes across to NL. So we'll see. I can't do every round, but aiming for 4-5 races. Can't wait!
Hello mate! Great job with that Honda, I also have that same model, could you tell me the diameter of the carbs? I want to put a conic air filters, I think it would fit very well, greetings from Spain!
Hey. I'm not actually sure what size they are, they are back on the bike now. Might say online somewhere? Yeah those would be good, they would look much nicer too than having to use the big airbox. Unfortunately I can't do that on this as it doesn't meet the Thundersport racing specifications. Are you doing a build video of your bike? All the best with it 👍
What was the carbon exhaust? Ya have a link? Cheerio mate
Someone gave it to me when I swapped the old parts from the road CB for a few race parts. Lucky for me it came in handy 😃
There's a company called HWW racing that sells the carbon exhaust systems. It's the same one that I got the downpipes from. They look identical to my carbon exhaust.
Hi mate, whats the new handle bars you got and what diameter are they? Thanks!
They are just unbranded flat bars. Basically a copy of Renthal flat bars. 22mm I think. They are from here...

Do you remember which lextek that is?
It's the cheapest one they do, can't remember the model for it. Weighs a hell of a lot compared to the others, but cheaper to crash with. It was from SF parts. 👍
@@SuggyRacing cheers, I'll take at look at what rob has, need to replace the bazooka I have on mine!
The nicest ones are the one Grant does that are carbon, or the new lextek ones, but much more expensive!
Hey Suggy :) where did you get that engine cover from?
Hi they are from eBay...

Scusa, dove posso comprare un manubrio dritto come quello che monti nel video? Grazie
Hi, you can get them from a company in England called SF Parts. www.sfpartsltd.co.uk/cb500
@@SuggyRacing grazie per la risposta molto gentile 👍
Did you get a new throttle tube or use the old one?
It's just the one that came on the bike. I just cleaned the grease and crap off it. If you aren't racing, get a domino quick throttle. They are good and look nice too 👌
