That 10X machine is one of the toughest games in the casino, especially the old three reel one. I remember seeing a combination on one with a 10X and a 2X and single bar, and I decided to just play a $50 through at a $1 a spin rather than $3. It hit 10X 10X 3 bar and it was $3,000 which is VERY unusual. After the handpay I walked along the line to another one near a friend who said, "Steve now that you won something, play 3 now, play max bet." So I did. Playing max bet on this machine can be very expensive over time as it tends to just produce cherries and the odd single bar or mixed bars. On this single occasion the machine gave me a 10x 10x cherry, which again, was $3000. I was very pleased as this is EXTREMELY rare. I have never in 10 years since experiencing this double win on two separate 10 X machines EVER won anything larger than a $100 so that gives you some idea of the odds on this one. Brian is very lucky here, and I'm sure he would tell you that!
Steve, Just to let you know that the 10X 10X slot is my favorite. It is the only one I ever play. I may be luckier that most as my winnings on those machines are in excess of $25,000. In june 2022 @ Mirage hit for $3k; In august 2022 @ Mohegan Sun in CT hit for $1500; Nov2022 @ Mohegan hit for 5K. Love those 10X 10X slots
Watching this in August of 22. I just discovered you this year. Oh how far you have come! Especially talking about wanting to get behind the scenes of how the machine works. I bet you weren't even entertaining the idea of having your own machine one day.

Some years back in Reno for a wedding I hit a 2 coin 10X for 10X10 red 7 for 10K. Then a couple years later I hit a 10X 10 2 coin dollar machine for the big one of 20K. Awesome wins.

For reference:
3 red sevens pay 50 credits times bet per line (1000 in this case because you're betting 20 per line aka max bet). Substitute the 10x symbol which is wild pays 10x more. Two 10x wilds pay 100x. A red seven symbol with two wilds would be 1000 x 100 = 100000.

the slot machine, no matter how big or small, all come down to a small microchip called the random number generator. it cycles positioning numbers constantly until the electronic signal is received to stop. that is when you hit the bottom. the result is determined way before the wheels stop. if you had waited a micro-second before hitting the button, the result would be completely different. ever stop playing a machine, only to see the next player hit big? it means nothing. they stopped the generator at the right micro second.
I hear that but I still think they have facial recognition software, and target first timers for lucky wins... Hook them, then reel them in.
