Actually, yeah, you’re right, I think FnF has officially passed its “mainstream” phase, which means only people interested in the game get to discuss and enjoy it
I was always in it for what it truly is, the modstravaganza that came after it due to people yearning for more playable FNF content was something I dabbled on for a short while but got tired of because like, it started just not being Friday Night Funkin' at all, it eventually just felt odd and random to have FNF Boyfriend have a rap battle with fucking Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, or whatever edgy oc the community came up with.
Like, there's a whole ass 4chan themed mod. There's a mod themed around shock content, like gore or "cheese pizza" for whatever fucking reason. It goes from completely unrelated to straight up abhorrent. And in the middle of it all is the little blue haired gremlin, to serve as a reminder that this is still, indeed, somehow, Friday Night Funkin', be it with Sonic.exe or fucking Tord from Eddsworld.
*tl;dr - the "FNF fanbase" has gone insane and I'm glad to see the main, actual game only getting better as development goes on. I patiently await the full-ass release and the release of these demos as well. Quality over quantity.

Right now, it's only available on Newgrounds. There was a build up on their itch.io page, but it was very buggy and the game would crash after the first song of WeekEnd 1. So they took it down, and it will hopefully be back up soon in a more playable state.
