Great details that you implemented in your video I've just finished my 69 chevy and you r opinions was greatly appreciated thanks for the opportunity to receive important information in certain areas thanks once again turners bodyshop and extreme paintworks
@MAYCOCustomRestorations right on! Do you have any advice or tips for doing that part ? I have to replace the inner roof pan and both upper a pillar sections on mine. Thanks
Just received my cab corner replacement panels from a good supplier (you’ve mentioned them). Have you noticed the lower lip along the back not being the same shape? Mine looks quite different and I’m just wondering what to do. I may be able to save that original lip, too.
@@MAYCOCustomRestorations If looking at the cab’s rear, the bottom edge of the cab corner perpendicular to the frame. That edge is not the same shape as the edge it needs to join to, toward the rear center of the cab. It’s almost like a small stair step on the original.
@@MAYCOCustomRestorations the floor boards where gone about like what your working on , .They were literly in every other farm field they were parked cause they would ruin your clothes if you drove them in the rain or the doors didn't work well
Hey Matt, So what do you do when your rockers are completely rotted off your truck. I'm going to be working on a 71 K10 and the outer rockers and most of the inner rockers are completely rotted away.
How does your inner rocker/ pillars /corner look? Outer rocker is the first thing that has to go when replacing these sections anyway so I wouldnt be concerned with it. You can send pics to my email and ill take a look.
@@MAYCOCustomRestorations I don't have the truck at my shop currently it is still in the barn at my grandmother's farm. I will be up there this week and can try to get some pictures. Just from memory the outer and most of the inner rockers are rusted away. The cab corners need replaced, and I'm guessing the bottom A and B pillars will need replaced. Once I get some pictures I will send them over.

Are you talking about the lip on the side of the cab corner that faces the rear? That curves up into the rear pinch weld seam?

@@general23cmp Yes the rear edge on the stamp is not the same. Ill put something together real quick and post it.
when I was in high school these trucks were from free to $500
Wow, and probably in better shape than the majority now.

@@huckstirred7112 Yeah they are getting harder to find in general, much less not rotted out on the coast.

Matt, who makes the lower rear cab pinch panel you mention? The rear bottom cab panel between the cab corners.
Kamenski fab
Hey Matt, where do you purchase all the patch panels from?
I would buy from gmc Paul’s or classic heartbeat
