Haha, love this. We also like the saying ‘the more you pay the more you sway’ in that the higher end cabins are usually high up and at the extreme ends of the ships where there’s the most movement 😂
I’m still very young and far away from ever being able to get on one of these cruises but this channel is a great replacement for getting that feeling. Recently I’ve gotten into a relationship and seeing these warm trips create such an urge to go on vacation..
First let me say the music accompaniment is spot on! It really enhances your wonderful videos. I love a firm mattress and the black marble..stunning, I hate those types of hangers. I was also thinking how much the Princess suite looks like that of the mini suite on Princess which I love staying in three times already!. Thank you Rich and Helen🚢🙂
Another great video thanks. I really like the green sofa in the Grand Suite - I think the two chairs facing it, about 9:10, would look better in the same green also instead of the tan. Although I am probably not objective and have little sense of style. I just like green.
Interestingly ( and much more affordable) - the Q3 suite looks REMARKABLY similar to a P&O Britannia suite - with the dividing wall splitting the bedroom from the sitting room, marble bathroom etc. Very very similar. Worth checking out.
Thank you very much for your Vlogs on Queen Anne . I’ve been a Cunard client since 2003 , QE2 , QM2 , QE and QV. I was wondering about QA and you have helped me decide that it’s not for me . I travel Queens Grade with a pal and the Q3 on a Vista is far more more to my taste as are the other Grill areas
We had a deluxe ocean view on the maiden voyage and we were very impressed with the cabin, especially the separate shower room and the size of the sofa. We are on QA again in October in a Q4 so we shall see what that is like. I think the Q1 is trying far to hard and it appears like Cunard forgot what Queens Grill is all about. A good example is the dining cupboard that seats 6. Really!
Are you allowed to take your own travel hairdryer ? …I thought I saw hairdryers on a list of items not allowed to take onboard? I’m travelling on her next year.
Sliding glass doors are inherently weaker. So in the event of strong winds, they want a strong door protecting the entrance to the balcony. Now, hopefully, the doors in the shower are not glass, because if the ships lists sharply and someone falls through them and they shatter, that could be a serious problem.
Standard categories? Quite nice! The suites? Meh, a bit conference room looking, and disappointing. However, its refreshing reverse criticism. Overall like many new builds, looking like all-inclusive resorts - soulless based on successful formula for mass, inoffensive appeal. Cunard's marketing prowess at work. And who would've ever imagined Cunard being less segregated than American lines like Royal Caribbean, Norwegian decades ago. Oh, by the way- another FANTASTIC tour! Thank you!
The Penthouse would be a dream. Unfortunately the inside room is too small and I would pick the QMII over this. If I got stuck in it due to illness, it would be too much.
Thank you for the video - really useful to see the different cabins - could I ask what the inside cabin number is? We are onboard in September and there seems to be a few different set ups for inside cabins...
@@visitwithus Thanks so much for confirming - we're going to be on the same deck all the way aft and keeping fingers crossed we'll have the same configuration! I agree I think side on is much better
Not impressed with the side angled sink in the Princess Grill. So far I have not seen a Q4 Penthouse mid ship. We have a Q4 midship booked for the World Cruise and are interested in finding out the feel of the suite. Thanks for this video.
Hi Kevin. Well spotted. The Q3 we filmed is one of the bigger ones on Deck 6 but it’s next to a Q5 with a connecting entrance. I couldn’t find the corresponding plan so had to use the one that was typical for that category. 🙂
@@visitwithus we’ve book the end q3 for 2026 cruise. I like the door from bedroom to balcony which you don’t get on q5 end wrap around balcony. Also have suite 7257 for Aug 24, but no videos yet 🥲.
I wondered why the door from the bedroom wasn't visible from the main balcony. Seems odd to have the partition closed. We have a Q3 booked for this year and next, and I'll certainly want an open balcony.
Ever since the pleasent shock surprise of experiencing Queen Elizabeth back in 2019, I've become something of a Cunard simp. They take the typical cruise ship design and change it ever so to feel bizarrely classic. Doesn't mean I'm not quick to accept some of the even glaring problems and ehhs the ships have come with. And QV appears just as susceptible. Sliding balcony doors have become the norm on CARNIVAL ships. I really do love the carpeting color and pattern choices. And the transatlantic humoUr. If I DO say!
It was all that was left when we booked so we decided to take the plunge as we were so keen to sail on her. And it’s been ok - the room is actually very cosy and comfortable. We’re certainly sleeping very well.
One thing which is ALWAYS missing for we ladies is a magnifying make up mirror at the desk where we can sit and apply out make up. I notice that there is a magnifying mirror in the bathroom in the higher suites but who wants to stand up in there to do makeup? Disappointing as the Q3 Penthouse suites on QV do have them.
Absolutely. None in the main cabins. Generally the lighting in the bathroom is very good so it hasn’t been a huge issue but Helen does love a decent magnifying mirror😁👍
An INSIDE cabin on a Carnival ship (with a splash of British lipstick)... SOMEONE must not have said enough "hail Marys" after confession. Hope you enjoyed! I would have loved to have sailed on Cunard (when it was CUNARD).... Looks like a lovely ship, though. While I'm not terribly fond of being old, I wish I had been old enough to know what a transatlantic crossing on the QEII felt like ((sigh))....
😂😂😂 One of the highlights of our time on board was a Cunard Insights lecture from Chris Frame (a Cunard historian) who entertained us for over half an hour with stories about QE2.
Ship's internet BLOCKS Google Docs, Google Sheets, all VPNs, Microsoft Outlook, Google Maps and many other productivity sites. Unless you're retired or won the lottery, DO NOT step foot on this ship if you have a real job and need to do any work whatsoever.
We cover some of this is our upcoming vlog. We tried to do a TH-cam live and it seemed like they were blocking uploads. However a few other vloggers on the same voyage managed to do a live from the ship so 🤷
Disappointing that it said a review of the staterooms & suites yet no view/mention of accessible cabins anywhere? We are always overlooked & seeing size/layouts is often even more important to us, especially when we have mobility issues #theforgottenfew
Completely understand Suzanne but we can only show the cabins we are able to access whilst on the ship and we aren’t always able to access every different layout of cabin. Sorry to disappoint you though. But thanks for watching and commenting anyway 😊
Inside cabins are ideal. I am at a loss to understand why anyone needs a balcony. At least Cunard ships maintain a sense of elegance unlike the giant shopping malls. Bring back classic ocean liner design with port holes.
Only time will tell I suppose. We like the dressing table area, especially the round mirror with the patterned wallpaper behind it. Thanks for watching.

‘A more balanced experience in playful seas’ is the best description I’ve ever heard to explain the benefit of a mid ship cabin - love it!

Why not to try a tasting cruise from Southampton to Amsterdam or Vice versa?🙂
Great overview....thanks so much. We, too, MUCH prefer sliding balcony doors.

Ship cabins look very nice and I love that they now have shower doors, hate the curtains.
All hail the glass screens! Only took Cunard a couple of centuries. 😂

Thanks for the heads up about the hairdryer! I will be packing my own for our trip in July. Apart from that, the cabins look lovely 😊
😂 We’re not kidding. AND you have hold the button down for the entire time it’s breathing on you. Cramped up thumb AND damp hair. Great combo. 😂
