Testing the New Equinox 900, Equinox 800 and XP Deus 2 on the Beach Part 1

Testing 3 different metal detectors on the beach to compare performance. The metal detectors include the new Minelab Equinox 900, the Minelab Equinox 800 and the XP Deus 2. Test targets are tiny 14k gold hoop earring, a 22k gold ring and a 14k gold ankle bracelet.

900 needs a 3 on FE to help with bottle caps..IMO Good video!

Thanks for the video, very helpful. I noticed you may have inadvertently set the 800 on F2 iron bias at level 6. The iron bias is either F2 or FE… you exited the menu with F2 selection active… with a rather high setting. I think you set the 900 to a low iron bias. Maybe it doesn’t matter? great video. Hey Savannah you should try out the depth tone it's deeper...it's minelab version of pitch I guess you can call it..

Yes. I have tried it. I wasn’t a big fan of it. But that was just my initial impression based on the sound. I may use it to see if it changes the performance over the 2 tone?

The 900 is deep. But looses finesse in separation

Unfortunately I think the Manicore will too. Plus we have a very interesting update coming out for the D2 soon.

The 2 tone program I use would hit that gold wedding band at 18inches all day... pitch program for me is the least deepest program for me.
