This is Danny Young, and about the music (lot of people asked) he said: "It started off as a riff I come up with about 3 weeks ago...I then forgot it as never write anything down! I remembered it the next day and used voice recorder on my phone and hummed the tune out (sounds really bad!) the rest of the arrangement sort of fell into place while tracking the guides in the studio. Then I developed the lead guides over about a week so I know what to play on the day of the shoot. Some of it was improvised and some was carefully thought out...a lot of time in the studio though!"

At 19 years old he was good enough to rub elbows with the best of the best guitarists in the world. Jason had a once in a generation gift and he got robbed by that horrible disease. The stars were aligned to carry him to the top of the world. It's unbelievably sad. We all missed out on so much phenomenal music he would have graced us with. I wish somebody would find a cure for ALS so we could kick it in the fucking nuts and give people like Jason a second chance.

You did it all.... from the innocent, child cradling sweetness of his playing to the blisteringly fast, fascinating melodies... love you man, that is the best thing I will hear in a long time ;-)

It's tapping arpeggios and I do use both pinkys at 1:30 dude!

I was a metal guitar playing young adult like themselves when Jason, Marty, Greg Howe and Tony McAlpine came blasting out of nowhere as if they were strapped onto rockets.
Steve Vai and Joe Satch were already Guitar Gods, but these guys were just so different that they floored all of us.
Not one of us could even be envious let alone arrogantly overbearing or condescending towards them because their playing wasn´t even on another level,- it was simply from another planet.
IT Was Just That Unbelievably Good !
Almost thirty years pass,- I grow into an adult with obligations, a familiy and so on.
Didn´t even think about how much I missed this tone and this style of guitar playing ´till I heard the playing in this video.
It transported me 30 years back to a differnet and also more innocent time filled with dreams of what would come.
Some of them came true,- some of them didn´t,- that´s life.
I realize that at the mature age of 53 I need to go buy one or two of these pickups,- install them in my favourite superstrat and start playing again ´till my fingers bleed,- all the while with a gigantic wide grin on my face.
Jason was the best bar none,- and if I can become just one tenth as good as he was I will forever be a happy old metalhead.
Metal´till I drop.

Hello Danny. I saw your video 3 months ago. I discovered Jason Becker and his microphone at Seymour but I have this music that you play that comes back to me all the time in my head. It's obviously not a Jason song because I looked for it. I love this song so much that I listen to it every day on TH-cam but I don't know if it exists on record. thank you for enlightening me but in any case it is huge. well done!❤️

I love how guitar players would know it’s a Jason Becker signature model but it’s not an ‘in your face’ signature model. I want to try one.
I have a mahogany body Hamer that I tried multiple Seymours with...JB, Distortion, Pearly Gates, Pearly Gates Plus, Alnico Pro II...this one is just amazing. No mud whatsoever, very clear and articulate. It's the first one that EVERYTHING sounds good. Cleans, chords, solos...EVERYTHING.

Just made me open up iTunes on my Mac and buy Jason's album, Perpetual Burn. I still kick myself for not taking lessons from Jason when he was giving lessons out of his home when he still lived with his parents in Richmond, Ca. back in 1987. Ugh...
