I so much like your advice Phil as I often actually steer my client away from extraction when I think its not necessary. One client was not happy about this saying that other places always recommend it. My thoughts are that it has its place and actually as I am based in Finland, the weather and humidity does not help in drying out a car if extracted in early Spring for eg, so I always say I will only do extraction in the Summer or if the client has a warm garage to leave it dry out overnight. Common sense prevails!
I’m in Western Canada(similar climate). I use a 12” portable fan and in winter I use a small portable heater with a window open a couple of inches. Rotate the fan around in the car. Extremely effective, dry in an hour or two.
Love you Phil great video. In Europe we like Koch products and for us the prise of Koch its 1/3 lower than you pay in usa. For excample we pay for Green Star 7euros(4-5 usd)/32oz...... Koch mzr is a Great carpet cleaner, also we use their abbrasive s,.
Phil in my opinion Koch Chemie uses the letters on the label to mimic the periodic table of elements. Marketing at its best. I like their products, especially GsF and Gs. .

Great video Phil, As a mobile Detailer, every once in a while someone will stop me on the street while they see me spraying down door jambs and asking me, you can do that? I guess they think it's strange to have water so close to the interior of the vehicle. as you know it's safe and yes some water gets into the interior, but no big deal.
We have a 2016 Honda Accord Sport also. I disliked the carpet so much that we gave it to our middle son. Love the paint and interior styling. Drove it for the first time in a long time yesterday and it's so slllloooowwww but I've been driving our Audi and Mustang GT, so it's not a fair comparison.

Ok I have had my detailing business for over ten years. So when you put chemicals on interior and break up that dirt it needs to be extracted because that stream is just gonna push that old dirt into other ares or deeper into the material
Hi. I appreciate the info. Perhaps it does to a small degree. But when steaming and using microfibers it cleans the surface and the microfibers will pull the moisture and dirt from the top fibers. I know what you mean, some dirt will be pushed into the fibers below, but it’s very little. Extracting all the time is not advised all the time. It will cause more issues from our experience. Cleaning the surface and having it dry quickly is the best way for us. But it’s totally up to each detailer to determine what they need to do for their customers. Thanks.
Phil, do you normally for interiors work in a top down order so that floor work is the last step? Are you sure those gunshots were not Detailers being shot at for running their extractors too much?

Hi. Thanks. It’s hard to say. Sometimes we don’t see some of the vehicles that we polish with them. But we did get to see the Puris ceramic polish go about 3 months with great beading still.
Hi. It all depends on the type of interior. For tan cloth seats we use Pol star because it’s ph neutral and doesn’t cause browning. But sometimes on really bad stains I’ll use green star.

I have a 2017 Pilot and a 2019 Ridgeline, and the carpet is cheap. If I get aggressive with carpet trying to get pet hair, the carpet "fuzzs" up. I think it's ruining carpet. I think I'll get that diamond shaped brush you have. Tell your neighbor to stop shooting in residential area. Not very responsible. Thank you so much for all your videos!!

I want to add the clay bar service in my wash packages, but i am not to sure if it can be removed without polishing the car with a polish cream and cutting/finishing pad. Thanks! Hi! Unfortunately once clay bar marring is induced it needs at least a light polish. Even with a soft pad and a wax or sealant apply my machine will remove it. That’s usually what we do. No need to polish it extensively. So just use your DA polisher with a soft pad and apply your wax or sealant by machine and you’ll be fine.
Finally you got Spray Nine, it was difficult to get it due to the pandemic. You got to get Jess the glass tool cleaner from Stoner's called reach and clean quick change tool that is an arm with a triangle at the end and she will love it also for those tight corners. I got mine from Walmart but it is also sold at Advanced Auto, Amazon and other places.
Phil how you remove the light marrying from the clay after is you do not perform a correction or enchantment service? ....from your experience is the wax application with a foam pad( maybe black) and a Da capable of do both wax+ remove the light mar from the clay?
Hi. Yes when we use out DA polisher and a cream wax or sealant with a soft pad it has enough cleaning action from the pad that it will remove the marring. The clay marring is very minor and is removed easily.
Thanks! Actually we don’t dilute it at all. We just control the amount we use from the bottle. Some dilute it but we have found it works great straight.

There is a eric jones if i write his name correct who has a bmw believe 5 series a detailer to and use only water there is a company blue wonder its a bio products they make also all-purpose cleaner and always mix it with water that make appear body clean too.i used meguiar's marine cleaner wax smells nice makes the body very smooth this honda accord which is a beautiful cat to begin end up to be double awesome ooh yes mats at work i vacum clean the building and front door have mats to some piece of grass or something it feels like it glue to the mat and i take mi 2 fingers to life it .perhaps its also a poor quality or its old

I dont extract, it's the last resort, I stream and drill brush.

Oh yeah. We had spray nine for a while now. I bought a ton of it when it was available on Amazon. Yea we also have that tool for the glass also.
