So, I saw the Children's Festival DLC, in Japan, conversation between Saizo and Kana. Kana opened by saying that he thinks his father is weird. Saizo got offended by that statement and wanted to know why Kana thinks that. Kana replied by pointing out that he found that book of notes about Corrin that Saizo dropped. However, it turned out Saizo was still using that book to write down his reactions to little things involving Corrin and Kana mentioned some of the entries, embarrassing Saizo more and more.
Saizo acknowledged that he wrote that sort of stuff and claimed that is just how he wishes to show his emotions, Kana takes back his statement about Saizo being weird, and Saizo asked Kana to remain silent about that book and was even going to go as far as bribing.
So he turned his stalking notes into a journal?... well at least he's trying
"So, you trust me now?"

"Friends? Where did you get that idea?"

Guys, Saizo has the best Skill growths in the game. Imagine the destruction if you were to give their Kana the Berserker class, along with a Great Club, Astra, Quixotic, Hoshidan Unity, Deat Blow, and Axefaire. Holy hell.

Robin: Where's this coming from? Haven't I done enough for Hoshido already?
Saizo: All you did so far was what anyone would've done in your situation. You may not be Nohrian, but you aren't Hoshidan either. I don't know much about you. How can I or anyone in this army trust you in a life or death situation?
Robin: I understand your skepticism, Saizo. But you won't find anything suspicious with me.
Saizo: I'll be the judge of that. If I find you doing something suspicious, I will act accordingly and strike you where you stand.

Robin: Ok, so if I move these units to the bridge area, they could take the enemy by surprise, but at the same time I might risk them walking into an ambush. This is certainly troubling...

Saizo: I see you have bags under your eyes. Have you been getting enough sleep?
Robin: It's kind of hard to do with a ninja watching everything I do, with the amount of food I eat, when exactly I go to the bathroom, how much time I spend studying, you know, typical stuff.
Saizo: I will not allow an impaired tactician to guide my moves on the battlefield. If you must know, you haven't done anything to warrant my ire yet. But you haven't done anything to earn my trust either.
Robin: So what can I do?
Saizo: If you can just get enough sleep and perhaps be sure we walk out of our next battle in one piece. Perhaps I might warm up to you. Maybe.
Robin: You have yourself a deal, Saizo.

Saizo: Impressive work, Robin. I wasn't sure I was going to walk out of that battle, but thanks to your last-ditch effort to protect me from that arrow. We managed to send the enemy into retreat.
Robin: So does that mean I'm off the hook with you?
Saizo: I will not need to watch you anymore. You have clearly demonstrated immense loyalty to Hoshido. But keep in mind, If you do sell us out to the enemy, I'll be the first to find out.
Robin: Say Saizo. Mind if I ask you a question? How did you fall in as Ryoma's retainer?
Saizo: This comes from the fact that Kaze and I are both ninja from the kingdom of Igasato. Where there I am fifth in line of the Saizo clan. Every first-born male gets the name. And the name Saizo comes with great expectations.
Robin: Sounds a lot to take in.
Saizo: Anyways, Kaze and I would regularly visit Castle Shirasagi, because our clan had served the Hoshidan throne for generations. Soon, I became a ninja worthy of the Saizo name. And Lord Ryoma recognized it as well and allowed me to become his retainer.
Robin: Well to be honest, I believe Ryoma chose well deciding his retainers. And I hope you continue serving Ryoma until the day you die.
Saizo: I hope that I do, and I hope you continue being an inspiration on the battlefield as well, tactician.
Robin: I will!
