Keukenhof (in english: "Kitchen garden"), also known as the Garden of Europe, is one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in the municipality of Lisse, in the Netherlands. According to the official website, Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares (79 acres) and approximately 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the gardens annually. Keukenhof is widely known for its tulips, it also features numerous other flowers, including hyacinths, daffodils, lilies, roses, carnations and irises.
Keukenhof is located in the province of South Holland, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam in the area called the "Dune and Bulb Region". It is accessible by bus from Haarlem and Leiden train stations as well as Schiphol. Though its grounds are open year-round for private affairs and festivals, Keukenhof is only open to the general public for a world-renowned 8 week tulip display from mid-March to mid-May, with peak viewing arriving near mid-April, depending on growing season weather, which varies annually. In 2019, 1.5 million people visited Keukenhof, equivalent to 26,000 visitors per day.
In 2020, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic and closures to contain it, the park was shut from its scheduled opening day, 21 March until its scheduled closing date, 10 May, costing it an estimated $25 million in revenues.

@@lydiabergen5671 In 2021, Keukenhof opened for two weekends. Reservation and covid test were required.
Hopefully 2022 will be a better year...

All day long, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Keukenhof is more crowded between mid-April and early May.

Could you tell me how big is the garden please? If walking normally without taking photo, how many times to spend?
I really want to visit there once may be 2022. When it's opened only few months a year, this must be the best garden ever!
32 hectares, 15 kilometers of alleys, 15000 m2 of indoor exhibitions, windmill, ponds, picturesque bridges, panoramic views of the surrounding tulip fields, restaurants with terraces...
I highly recommend a full day in the park. You won't be disappointed !
How early was this? Is there going to be blooming tulips first / second week of April

First week of April, you can see hyacinths, early tulips, daffodils and cherry blossoms.
Second week : the same with more tulips !

Is this place open for visitors now because in google it is showing temporary closed
Unfortunately, the park is currently closed... but Keukenhof has been allowed to open to the public on 9, 10, 11, 16, 17 and 18 April 2021.
Only 5,000 visitors per day, with reservation and visitors must have been tested 40 hours before their visit, at the latest.

When is the best time in Spring to visit Keukenhof? Late March/early April?
In my opinion, the best time is approximately from the middle of April to the end of April.
It's the most flowery period.

Die NIEDERLANDE muss man kennenlernen , alles ist dort sehenswert , es ist eines meiner Lieblingsländer von Europa . Auch der Käse , die Backwaren sind köstlich . Leider gibt es zu viele Touristen u. Drogen .

Temos um parque maravilhoso projetado por Burle Marx que está jogado às traças; temos um Parque Lage, que também está jogado às traças; um terreno magnifico na Quinta da Boa Vista que não é devidamente fator de atração turística.... Temos uma floresta amazônica jogada às traças, a flora existente para contemplar são as copas das árvores.... fauna, não vemos nada... e é assim que perdemos concorrências que investem inclusive em lindos chafarizes.... Temos uma Praça Paris que só podemos olhar de longe... Também precisamos preservar as grandes obras deixadas pelo Império, como fazem os chineses com seu império secular, que preservam todos seus monumentos e obras de artes; como a Rússia, que também preserva os grandes patrimônios deixados pelos Czares ou Tzares, como queiram... Bom, nada disso é problema meu é do povo brasileiro no qual estou ainda inserida.
