The witch can save someone with a life potion or kill someone with a death potion. Cupid chooses lovers who will automatically die if the other dies. There are many other roles (spying little girl, hunter etc.) and every morning the villagers execute someone who they vote is suspicious.
The way Monika figured out what Dana (I think that's how you spell her name) was trying to do by nominating Ryan was pretty smart. Notice how she instantly got killed in the next round. Sean is paying attention hahaha

we played another version in the last few days of school every year. there were more roles and it was a bit more complicated: the townspeople: the doctor: exactly the same but can't heal the same person twice in a row so he isn't invincible the detective: he will choose a person and the moderator will give a thumbs up or down to say if they're the mafia or not. then he goes back to sleep the sniper/sheriff: can choose someone to kill but if they are wrong they will die. can only kill 2 people. they can also skip and choose nobody. the armor wearer? (couldn't translate the name): has 2 lives unless voted out and everyone will know the role after the first life the mayor/cowboy: so in this version the roles of dead people aren't announced but the mayor can tell the moderator to announce how many mafias and townspeople are left but not the roles. this can be done when the mayor is dead if more than half the people want to but only once (twice if there is no mayor) and only at the very start of the day. normal people: normal people the mafia: the godfather: the person that tells the moderator who to kill and if the detective choses him he can't say anything against him or vote for him. if the godfather is killed or voted out the other mafias have to agree on who to kill like in the video. dr lecter: the doctor but for the mafia the reporter: the detective but for the mafia normal mafia: normal mafia new rules: based on the number of players there will be 3 mafia (1 godfather and 2 normal mafia) 4 mafia (godfather dr lecter and 2 mafia) or 5 mafia (one of each and 2 normal mafia). if the players don't want a reporter there will be 1 godfather 1 dr lecter and 3 normal mafia. for the townspeople there is one of each role and the rest are normal people. the moderator will write down the rule names on paper and give them to all the players nobody will be killed in the first night. the first night only mafias wake up to know who is who. they will know who every mafia's role is. when everyone wakes up the moderator will choose who is the first to talk. then everyone will talk in order (the moderator will choose clockwise or c clockwise) you can't tell your rule. you can only say that you are from the townspeople. the day will end when a full circle is complete. people can also request a challenge from the person currently talking. if the player accepts then they will talk even if its been there turn before or hasn't been there turn yet after that the player who gave the challenge will talk (or not if they already have or don't want to talk). you can only talk for twice via challenge each round. people also give a thumbs up or down if they agree or disagree with the person talking but this won't effect the voting. the person talking can also say give a thumbs up if you think this or that. at night first the mafia kills someone then the reporter chooses someone from the townspeople then the detective chooses someone then the doctor then the sheriff then doctor lecter then the mayor. after that if the mayor died nobody will know the roles but at day all dead people will say there last words before knowing who killed them and getting eliminated. how to vote: the after everyone talked you the moderator will count the votes and the people with the highest votes stand up to defend themselves with one final speech. after the speech there will be a final vote. if its a three way tie then nobody gets voted out but if its a 2 way tie then both of them get voted out. and if its 1 person they get voted out.
