I do too! I watched a video of hers earlier. It was weird seeing the name on the channel being her Husband’s. I hope he and the kids are doing ok. I miss Mel. ❤
Yes!! I would love to see a regular shop stash, forgotten Holy grails, full face of nothing new, at least 2x a month. Not just putting this on you Charlotte, I would appreciate any creator to take.up the challenge!!
Me and my husband were looking for something the other day, drawers being searched. He found a piece of paper he's like "what is this?? It says Peach Smoothie, Cocoa Bear?" Ha ha it was a list of Makeup Geek singles I was wanting to buy!! It made me laugh when you mentioned them
I started watching youtube discovering Mel first then you and Tara, Jenna, Angela VR etc. I miss her. Most of my HG's are from her recommendations. Great video thank you Charlotte!
I REALLY appreciate this video celebrating the products that we might already have in our drawers but are possibly neglecting because our culture has started to make us all focus on what we "need" to buy next -- making us have the impression that we "could do better" or even feel better if we bought the new thing. I am as guilty as anyone, always going to the Sephora website to click on "new arrivals"but I'm honestly lately just getting tired of it all, so much is just hype and a reworking of what's already out there. I'm just tired of trying to make room in my drawers and having to throw away things just to make the new stuff fit. I have recently also repurchased a couple of things that I used to use and wondered why I ever started looking for replacements in the first place (lol, one of which happens to also be the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Bronze and Glow)... Please understand that while I do appreciate your reviews I am also tired of the feeling that we "need" new things so often.....so thanks as well for the "you do not need that" videos
Fantastic video! I was thinking about Mel the other day when I was looking at an eye shadow pallet. She always did the most amazing eye looks. She is very much missed. Sweet Mel. Pulled out an unopened Marc Jacobs Tantastic. I might as well use it because it is my absolute favorite bronzer. Also pulled out my CT bronze & glow in light. Such a good one.
i used the ND palette today. for a simple look, i put a natural brown shadow stick on the lid and then i used the highlighter from the palette as an eye shadow. it was beautiful!
You look so natural and pretty. Thanks for doing this video, I really enjoyed it. I miss Mel, she was one of the youngest that I would watch, and she always replied back on comments, may the lord have her in heaven looking down at us, maybe she is doing makeup on the angels, 😊
Hello Charlotte, how sweet you still mention Mel, I still use recommendations from our sweet Mel, never to be forgotten. That’s how I found your channel thru sweet Mel. I use that Hourglass powder as my finishing powder cause of Mel, love their powders. Never thought to use it as a highlighter. How funny I just pulled out my Laura Mercier blush to use tomorrow.💜💜💜🐞🦋🧚♂️
So many throwbacks, but especially the peach smoothie mention! Even if I didn't buy most of these products, I'll always think of them fondly because of the memories I associate with them. I really liked the Mac lipsticks I owned, but they went bad before I could finish them. I still have my lipstick and lashes from the Star Trek 50th Anniversary collection for display. As for my oldies but goodies, I still use the Physician's Formula powder bronzer. I haven't tried that many, but the few I have either weren't the right tone for my skin or weren't great formulas. Also the DesixKaty Friendcation palette by Dose of Colors. Beautiful warm neutrals and gorgeous topper sparkles! The yellow-green bronze duochrome is stunning, one of my favorite fall shades! Although a little newer to my collection, my grandmother gave me her old (though unused) Bareminerals Gen Nude blush in "Call My Blush", and it's my top favorite pinky-neutral blush. If I don't know what blush to wear, I'll put it on and it works 90% of the time. It's also a perfect transition shade when a bronzer won't work.
Hi Charlotte! I pulled out Mothership X after watching your recent video yesterday and omg…the sheer gold sparkle and the dark brown as liner…😍😍. I can’t believe it’s been collecting dust in my collection! Thanks for the inspo! I love this video, I def wanna use old faves 🩷. My too faced natural nudes palette and hourglass diffused light & luminous light always are old faves ❤
I recently declutter all my foundations and now I will only use my double wear, the best for my oily, mature skin and very humid climate... I was buying and trying so many and always come back to my HG,loved for so many oily skin girls, infalible... I love Huda powder and love the scent 😅, I could smell it all day ...❤😘
Ooo I have always heard about Mac Velvet Teddy but I’ve never actually seen it on the lips. I love it! Now you’re making me want to order it lol Daaaaamn youuuu Charlotte! 😆 I love this video! Your makeup turned out flawless. Your skin is so beautiful! You must share your updated skincare routine 🙏🏼
Lovely to hear you mentioning Mel, such a sweetheart and much missed. You've also reminded me that somewhere buried in the depths of my messy make up drawer is a Laura Mercier blush in Ginger (I think), it's only a sample size but I do really like it - thanks for the reminder 👍🙂
Definetely agree to the old favourites, grabbed my mac blush in harmony out of the closet (probably haven‘t used it for about 2 years) and yes, now I‘ve fallen in love again with this blush 😅 so big thumbs up for getting out the beloved favourites ❤ thank you for reminding us ☺️
Just thank you for all the work and effort you put into your videos and reviews. You're the first on my list when I want to unwind. My hubs had to go out on a call last night at 11pm and your vid kept company while I settled to sleep🙂
Love this video. Have so many old favourites, and watching content like this, and shop my stash vids, always make me love and enjoy what I have already in my collection. ❤ love the final look ❤
I LOVE my CT Bronze & Glow. I got it last year and I only wanted the travel size but I had a John Lewis voucher and they didn't carry the travel size. I went from being momentarily disappointed to ultimately thrilled because it's such a great go to. LOVE.
Aw Mel 💕😇💕,Oooo love this, what a fun topic 😀 Ok here we go : First holy grail primer - milk hydrogrip current - hourglass airbrush vanish primer First holy grail foundation - toofaced born this way current - haus labs for everyday, hourglass ambient soft glow for glam Don’t remeber a first holy grail concealer Current - nars soft matte complete, haus labs First holy grail mascara - milk kush mascara Current - LE kitten lash for everyday, CT exaggereyes for bold lashes First and current holy grail blush - Pat McGrath fleurtatious My first ever holy grail bronzer - the bronzer from the CT bronze & glow palette but I never used the highlight Don’t have a current holy grail bronzer - I’ve found I prefer the undertone of a beige nude blush for this instead on my complexion Current and first favorite highlighter hourglass incandescent My first ever holy grail eyeshadow palette tarte tartlete in bloom Current - my combined palette of ND I need a nude & midi glam First and current holy grail everyday eyeliners - CT rock n kohl in the shade Smokey grey & Pat McGrath permagel in the shade “ shade “ First and current and current holy grail glam eyeliners - CT rock n kohl eyeliner in the shades black and brown First holy grail eyebrow pencil was from toofaced Current - benefit brow detailer First and current true holy grail lipsticks - LE First and current holy grail lip liners - LE First holy grail setting spray - tarte stay spray Current holy grail setting spray - hourglass veil setting spray First and current holy grail powder - Kosas cloud set
You are so fun to watch and you look so good. I hope you know that! I keep your recommendations in mind when building a makeup kit for clients that are older than me
Love the concept of this vid. I just dusted off my first lipstick Chanel Coco in Mademoiselle.... still beautifull looks even better on me now that I am older and my lips lost a bit of colour. Your vid. inspired me to wear again my old favs.
I bought that Laura Mercier foundation when you first reviewed it and still love it, I even bought a back up. I don’t wear foundation often but when I do, it’s this one ❤
So glad to hear you say the ND Glam face light palette. I bought that when it was released and still use it to this day as my daily grind work day palette. I also take it for travel all the time. I never bought the I need a nude or warm palettes, this is my main natural palette other than maybe glam. I also liked the highlight but hate the cream blush, the colour is nice but I prefer powder. The cream blush kind of gets dirty and am afraid of breaking out if I dare use it, so I just use all the shadows and hit pan on both shimmers, and also the highlight with how much I use it.
I have two days worth of the blush in the ND Glam Face palette. I love the colour, I love the way it sits on my skin. I might end up buying the palette to replace the blush, and give rest away rather than buying supposedly dupes (sometimes this ends up being more costly than just buying the actual product I want to replace).
Omg i’m still using the Lancôme mascara.. She is my favorite ! She’s also pricey, but fortunately, Sephora offers the mini for 100 points on a regular basis .. I have two in my back up and whenever I’m purchasing on Sephora I checked to see if they have it. It’s worth 100 points because the mini still lasts me a little while…
Hey Charlotte, thank you for this video. ❤ I also missed your makeup & murder series. Would you upload any of those anytime soon? 🤗 😘 You're amazing, especially when you talk about books and movies with makeup. I'm all over those videos 😅
I’m going to pull these out of my bottom drawer. I have 80% of what you met. On my way to Sephora to take a look at LM in chai ❤ I miss our beautiful friend Mel. ❤️❤️❤️
What a fun topic! Mac blushes lips and let’s not forget some of their brushes!! Not only are the colors still iconic. Some of their dual fiber brushes. The wedge brush for details. Absolute workhorses
OMG you are totally on my wavelength! I love the CT Bronze and Glow and recently rediscovered it, I just bought the LM Belini blush! Oh and the lovely Mel! xx
Yesterday i orderd a Mac lippie from the frosted Collection 😍 the best lipsticks since 10 years and so much different colors, undertones and formulations 🔥 stunninnnnnn
I like the Huda loose powder on my almost 50 year skin to correct and rebalance if I'm overboard with blush/bronzer. So a mini is good enough to last me for ages. I own a Benefit face palette with the shade Rockateur in it and I use it. Love the shade on me and I can't get a new one since they redid the blushline. Willa is close but it's not Rockateur. Talking about blushes everybody was raving Milano Luminiso those days, I prefered Berry Amoure of Milano over it and still use that one too, although it is a while I used it. I need to check my old stuff and declutter or use. It's long over due...
I have three Laura Mercier blushes including Bellini and still use them all the time, still one of my favourites and such a reasonable price, just as good as the high end blushes which cost twice as much. That mascara still looks stunning on you Charlotte 🥰💜
Thank you for this Video! I think some of my old holy grails I still really love are definitely MACs velvet teddy (I still use it at least once a week) and Lady Danger. And the NARS Climax Palette! Lobe this one!
I still love and buy the MAC lipsticks. Craving is my favorite color but it is hard to choose bc their colors are so good. I am now going back to my Laura Mercier blush after this video 😊
Laura Mercier Chai, I use this blush regularly my favorite blush so underrated. Mac lipstick I have a lot of color, Mac have change many color with the reformulation, I can wear Velvet teddy now (before not at all) 🫣 Bronzer Marc Jacob I finish mine 1-2 years ago 😭 Thank for this video 💛 I love this type of video, many older product are way better than the new viral one 😅
Cupcake huda powder i recently bought, amazing. I don't use it under eye though. I havent noticed a fragrance or at least one that bothers me. Mob beauty is nice and apparently the founder worked for mac. Lancome mascara i love and also the concealer, although cant get my pinkish shade in it but has a tightening effect which is great for old ladies like myself 😊
The ND INAW palette has all the shades that are in the Glam Face palette. I’d need to look up the shade numbers but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are one for one shade numbers. If not, they are definitely dupes with almost identical colors & formulas.
Idea for content. Brushes. Designed to do what and what that looks like. Also wrong brushes and what that looks like. Multi purpose brushes and using different pressure ie gradient from lash line to brow in one and done etc
Loved this so much!! This is super random but lately I’ve been using that Bounce Skin Tint from Beauty Blender for everyday makeup, and loving it again!! Also the plain old Dior powder bronzer in shade 04, it still works well and love the tone :)
MAC eye kohl in Teddy (not lipstick I this time 😊); and Lancôme Le Crayon Khol Eye Liner in Bronze is my absolute holy grail eyeliner. Bought it on New Year’s Day in 2010 in London and loved it ever since. It’s just been discontinued but rest stock is on sale, so I’ve bought back ups!
Are you on vacation? LM 2w1 has an olive undertone too, which suits me better than Nars. Thx for the reminder bc I still have it! CT bronze and glow is my favorite neutral bronzer no matter how many I try. I still wear that and LM Rosè weekly! My head is turned by shiny objects but I do go back to these OGs.
I really like the blushes and highlighters in the ND face palettes 😅really lovely formulas and somehow actually work on my super fair skin when they really shouldn't. The eyeshadows are so well chosen. But I adore the Love face palette too 😊the pale pink blush I love and the eye shades are so Valentines Day. I'm so into the ND Golden and Warm palettes but I'm not sure they will be on any sales this year? 😅I don't wanna pay full price
I absolutely love that you mention Mel, gone but not forgotten. Thank you! I miss her so much!
🫶🏼🫶🏼
Yes! I think about her every time I see Charlotte’s red panda in the background.
I was thinking about her last week 🥺
@@ScentsibleHomeWithJamieMe, too. Or anytime a really creative eyeshadow palette comes out, which makes me wonder what Mel would’ve done with it.
I do too! I watched a video of hers earlier. It was weird seeing the name on the channel being her Husband’s. I hope he and the kids are doing ok. I miss Mel. ❤
I miss Mel SO MUCH! I still think of her often ❤️💔❤️
Me too! I still watch her videos.
Love these type of videos - old favorites, shop my stash, etc…. It’s refreshing to find content that isn’t about new releases.
What a fun video. Yes, hats off to the beautiful and talented Mel. I'm also happy to hear her spoken of again. 🙏🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Omg, finally. Oldies ❤
💕💕
I love oldies!
I remember that Mel used to love Dior Backstage Face and Body. I bought it because of her, and use it until this day.
So many great products. ❤
We need this as a permanent series ❤
I must admit, that Glam face palette it's still my no.1. The eyeshadows, the highlighter, the blush, I use everything and I love it.
I started watching youtube discovering Mel first then you and Tara, Jenna, Angela VR etc. I miss her. Most of my HG's are from her recommendations. Great video thank you Charlotte!

What a great idea for a video, Charlotte! It is good to be reminded of oldies but goodies that we need to get back out and use.
I love that you mentioned Mel, I miss her. ❤ This was a stroll down makeup lane. Love it
Yes I love these kind of videos! No need for the newest and hottest - just the good old favourites!
Glad you like them!
i used the ND palette today. for a simple look, i put a natural brown shadow stick on the lid and then i used the highlighter from the palette as an eye shadow. it was beautiful!
So nice to hear you mention Mel.
The Laura Mercier blush takes me back to your top drawer videos! You should make more of those ♡
Mac lipsticks and eyeshadows are still some of my absolute favourites and go-to’s after MANY years of wearing and loving makeup
You look so natural and pretty. Thanks for doing this video, I really enjoyed it. I miss Mel, she was one of the youngest that I would watch, and she always replied back on comments, may the lord have her in heaven looking down at us, maybe she is doing makeup on the angels, 😊

The side eye zoom when showing the glam palette 😂 you’re so funny 😁 💜.

I’m just giggling over here imagining you’re filming this entire video in the nude like the queen you are.
Those were the days!
Remembering Please Me, Myth, RiRi Woo… I had over 15 Mac lipsticks.
Thanks for the time travel ❤

Mac lipsticks! My absolute favorite! Glad to see you talk about these.
You are so fun to watch and you look so good. I hope you know that! I keep your recommendations in mind when building a makeup kit for clients that are older than me

Dearest Charlotte, I share your passion for Mac Pink Freeze. It was the only eyeshadow I had ever hit pan on.
Something old but not forgotten for me would be the Laura mercier baked highlighter. Still using it every day.
Excellent video, you just reminded me I don’t need a better bronzer than the CT one ❤ Thanks 😊
Looking fabulous in the hot colour of the season
I have two days worth of the blush in the ND Glam Face palette. I love the colour, I love the way it sits on my skin. I might end up buying the palette to replace the blush, and give rest away rather than buying supposedly dupes (sometimes this ends up being more costly than just buying the actual product I want to replace).
I bought Hourglass Luminous Light based on your recommendation! It’s come full circle ❤
Omg i’m still using the Lancôme mascara..
She is my favorite !
She’s also pricey, but fortunately, Sephora offers the mini for 100 points on a regular basis ..
I have two in my back up and whenever I’m purchasing on Sephora I checked to see if they have it. It’s worth 100 points because the mini still lasts me a little while…
❤it obviously makes you happy ❤ I love this video
You inspired me to use my mini hourglass highlighter and ND’s mini glam palette again. ❤
Hey Charlotte, thank you for this video. ❤ I also missed your makeup & murder series. Would you upload any of those anytime soon? 🤗 😘 You're amazing, especially when you talk about books and movies with makeup. I'm all over those videos 😅
Hmmm they don't do well for me sadly, but I have been considering throwing another one in some time ❤
@CharlotteHoldcroft oh sorry to hear. That's ok. I'm in for whatever you upload. Love you.
@@CharlotteHoldcroft definitely a true murder - pretty please 😉
Yes yes yes. Thank you, more old palettes please. ❤
I just repurchased chai during the Sephora sale. ❤
I love that Natasha Denona highlighter in that face palette 😋. But the blush sucks. But yes the eyeshadows are gorgeous.
OMG you are totally on my wavelength! I love the CT Bronze and Glow and recently rediscovered it, I just bought the LM Belini blush! Oh and the lovely Mel! xx
Loved this! Thank you ❤
Yesterday i orderd a Mac lippie from the frosted Collection 😍 the best lipsticks since 10 years and so much different colors, undertones and formulations 🔥 stunninnnnnn
Lol I've still got mine! Smell a bit crayony, not getting rid!
@ yes this smell 😂
I bought the pat mcgrath concealer and Huda beauty concealer on your recommendation and I love them

I wish ND would make a shadow palette only with those colors! I had to buy a 2nd entire face palette as I hit pan in that 2nd shiny one!
I have three Laura Mercier blushes including Bellini and still use them all the time, still one of my favourites and such a reasonable price, just as good as the high end blushes which cost twice as much. That mascara still looks stunning on you Charlotte 🥰💜
So good!
Such a pretty look. ❤❤
Mel, Katy, Desi and Kathleen were my originals.
Great video! Still wearing Laura Mercier blushes and Huda Beauty powder 👍 fragrance is strong but it’s a beautiful powder 👌Ay caramba!! 😊❤
Thank you for this Video! I think some of my old holy grails I still really love are definitely MACs velvet teddy (I still use it at least once a week) and Lady Danger. And the NARS Climax Palette! Lobe this one!

I fear that just would not work for my channel❤
@@CharlotteHoldcroft aw how come?
Can you do a video series of 2016 upto today of annual favourites from that year and recreate a look 🤞🏼🥰
I still try to hit last pan in my 2019 hourglass pallet). Still use Mac pigment Vanilla and somehow it doesn't end😁
Gorgeous look today 😍
Thank you!!
Lovely
I loved the Monsieur big waterproof mascara, but it got dethroned by Tarte tartlette tubing mascara
Oooooh!!
Natasha Denona usually has pretty good Black Friday sales, including bundles (that’s how I snagged both of her 28 palettes a few years ago.).
I have the Huda setting powder in Pound Cake.
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hi dear Charlotte 🥰😇
No Nars blush or lipstick; they were my staples fifteen, twenty years ago. But, I tossed by Nars blushes because the packaging went sticky.
That Lancôme mascara seems to have changed formulas, at least in the US. RIP. Nostalgic products make us so happy!
I did think it seemed different to what I remember...
I still have some MAC lip pies, but as I got older, they became too drying and uncomfortable without applying balm beforehand.
