53, I'm from Guwahati, a blues and rock vocalist. Grew up listening to DP, Rainbow, PF, LZ, etc etc but also listened and watched Phoenix, the Cannibals etc from our own region. This band was too good, honestly. Watched it several times in Shillong and Guwahati. Thanks guys, lots for the music you believed in and made our day back then. I'll never forget you and your immaculate performances.
i really miss The Phoenix...it's hard to find this kind of quality band in recent days in manipur......i still remember how they rocked the audience....

sando- one of the greatest vocal in the history of manipur rock music.give some rrspect to him tht he really deserved.yeah we all now len gangte yeah uh ahh aoohh yeah we all knew he sang one famaous no known as woman' yeah but as a music lover or musician in the town we should give some rrspect to this legendary sando also.not just phoenix is for len gangte. sando is great but len gangte is better but back in the time sando was once part of this oldschool phoenix.
His name is Sando ,he is from Manipur.Phoenix Band is the pioneer in Western Rock music in India.Sadly there are not together anymore.I know them.Other musician are not the original members of the band.

I reckon Lien Gangte is the front man for Phoenix!!?? Dont have any clue with this guy. His slight mispronounciation is at a big glance. And the band sounds intimidatingly immature!

Lien Gangte is far much better than this upset Sando. May be he's formed the band, but the real legendary Lien Gangte wins.
