Alex is a real engineer. To be engineer is not to possess a mere degree. You must have the mindset. He has that mindset. He is a genius. To make something this incredible with very low resources is the definition of a genius.

He just didn't know how to fly a helicopter and crashed it due to dynamic rollover.
The rest of the aircraft are cargo cult imitations and if you hear what they're building them out of it kind of destroys the "they don't have any materials" myth that always gets used to excuse the world's worst engineering. Some of those 'planes' used fiberglass and carbon fiber, which are advanced materials. Compare that to the wright flier which was bicycle parts and balsa wood with a tiny engine strapped on.

Firstly, lets consider this. This guy has no formal education, and barely knows what a car even is. With that little knowledge, and an abysmally low amount of resources
He managed to build a functioning chassis, collumn steering, a working stick, and it genuinely works. Its obviously not the best car, but that literally doesn't matter
The fact it works at all, or was even able to be built is a feat of its own. Let alone that it functions on dirt roads.
