OH Dawn Michelle, this was absolutely brilliant, I enjoyed it so much.. I can't wait to buy the book and decks. I love how you explained things so clearly.
I love the idea of using the table of contents as a tarot spread! I just finished the book "The Power of Ritual, creating meaning and connection to everything you do" and it discusses using any book that you connect to and turning into a sacred text. This will really add to my practice. Thank you so much for sharing your practice and giving us all new ideas to enhance our own.
Another great idea so well presented. Thank you. Its like a carry on of the idea of Movie and Book themes connected to individual Tarot characters and Tarot decks. I think your idea works very well with the story-type decks like Tarot of 1,001 nights, and the Rackham Tarot or decks that don't force one into any type of format. There are some tarot decks that tell a different story connected to each suite (Mythic Tarot for one). It might be fun to explore those stories and tease some more information out with another deck and ask things like - What does this story teach me; How are my emotions triggered when I see this type of card/this type of behaviour; etc. Thanks for continuing to come up with ideas and explain them so clearly. Blessings.
I really enjoyed this video! I am currently reading If Women Rose Rooted and have the Enchanted Life on deck and was pleased to get a preview here with you! I've been enjoying your summer deep dive into the woods and love the decks you've showcased. Also really cool spread at the end, quite meaningful to bring the inner, the outer and the unseen into balance when cultivating a more meaningful, enchanted life, and that yes, it may be a lonely road at times, but we are not alone. Such a nice message. Thanks!!!!
I really enjoyed this especially as this book has been on my list for a little bit ( I also love your page tabs and your use of crystals to hold the pages open, inspired simplicity!). I'm not sure I've used books so practically for spreads but I'm definitely trying it. Books evoke feelings or a particular state of mind for me and that can then lead me to work with a specific deck or brings out certain readings... but not straight from the book itself. I also love both beautiful decks. Happy sigh....you always have such great ideas Dawn! Thanks for sharing. 😁
This was beautifully explained, but most importantly, really inspiring! Just today I was thinking about making some spreads, as it's been quite a while. Thanks for sharing 💛
Your videos are amazing... amazing and amazing... I love getting creative with my decks and your channel is a pure inspiration source... Thank you so much. Please keep sharing every creative way you have discovered with the cards from junk journals to meditations to spreads and on and on :) kind regards and best wishes :)
You are so creative and resourceful in your content!!! .... in terms of spreads I like to do what you have done in this video...... actually I suggest that you could create a complete section in your channel looking for your this special content, contained in books!!!.... or tarot booklets!
Okay, okay. You’ve convinced me to bring out my Bauer for my August rotation 🤪 I’ve had trouble combining bibliomancy w/ tarot and this might just be the key, such a fantastic and innovative technique 🧌🧝🏻♀️
Thank you! This was fantastic! I read across a very broad spectrum of non-fiction, out of pure curiosity but also to assist in world-building for my novels so this will come in so handy. I’m delighted that you shared a cool way to incorporate tarot into my creative process as well as expand my journaling for healing, growth, etc. You’ve given me such a gift here. Blessings!
I love making tarot spreads from books, so fun! My favs were for the book Belonging by Toko Pa Turner in a book club a few years ago. You would maybe love that book btw!
I just did a spread for Jane Eyre. I love this idea. I did a simple one but I still have lots of points that I want to use to make a spread but I’m having trouble. This video is inspiration not to give up!
This is awesome! There are so many books I would absolutely love to try this on, I just have to decide with which shall I begin hahaha. Thanks for another incredibly inspiring video 💗
One of the spreads I often use is a spread I created from a quote I read in a nonfiction book, I actually talked about it in my most recent tarot video😍 I love your idea of creating spreads based on the table of contents! That’s genius 😍 Also, the John Bauer with the Into the Lonely Woods is one of my favorite deck pairings!!!
Ooh what a fantastic idea, I LOVE this! Also loving your book of choice - Sharon Blackie is an amazing writer, I've just recently pre-ordered her new book Hagitude, which comes out in September. I'm now tempted to re-read the Enchanted Life and If Women Rose Rooted just so I can create some spreads from them!
Great idea! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
Very cool idea, thank you!
love this discussion
Excellent thank you for this, I haven’t read Sharon B, will be looking her up. 😊🌺🌟🍒

Wow! Love this! I also like to create questions for characters and do readings for them. Will try this with some non fiction books. 😍😍
A 'novel' idea! (Wink-Wink!) Thanks for introducing a new approach to spread-tailoring!

This is how behind I am in my viewing, gah! But I ADORE this idea and am totally using it. 🖤
(and I really love the new design of your title thumbnails, by the way!)
Thank you! They are fun to create. 😀

I love this way to read and bond with a deck. It also feels like a interesting way to encourage reading books as well.
Thanks for this beautiful insight and spread ideas Dawn! I just downloaded her book! You always come through with the best inspo! xxoo
